I haven’t bought an album of theirs since Black Clouds and Silver Linings. Thankfully I got to see them that year when they toured for the album for $20 (along with Zappa Plays Zappa, Climb the Summit and Giant Dwarfs) They were amazing live but I like more of their less heavier stuff they produce. Just hard keeping with my bands now and days

As a user I found many things odd and not truthful, but I have grown to expect it. They also don’t determine what kind of marijuana people are smoking like an Indica, Hybrid or a Sativa. I know a few that smoke it for medical reasons and is the only thing that has worked for them. I was stuck at my workplace in the office with my wrist injury and one of the workers suffers from Crohn’s disease. He said they kept changing his meds to help him, but all they did was make things either worse or did nothing at all. Took a friends advice and tried vaping some high CBD weed and has been for the most part completely fine since. I’m not saying it’s a miracle drug but there are some huge health benefits that are out there for people. Helps a good deal with my insomnia and my wrist pain (which after 3 years is finally being fixed by surgery next week) Helps my mom with her shoulder and leg pain (needs a full knee replacement) Glad to see my country make it legal and it’s just a matter of time before I think more states/countries legalize it too.

BLACK PANTHER (3D) 2.5/5 Good 3D disc and good sound (when upped to a reasonable volume) but I’m with Eric Cartman in that the movie was overrated. Watched with my mom, cousin and her husband and all had the same reaction/feelings for the film. Also 3 of us were a little stoned on our go too Cinderella 99 strain, and mom was the control in this viewing. It did make all the colours really pop though and a little mesmerizing at times, but not enough to make the movie better

Consumer Technology High end 1080P or low end 4K TV
silentbob replied to Bataar's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Well CES is almost here and should maybe see some lower tv prices on last years models soonish. I actually upgraded my 51” 1080p Samsung Plasma during our Canadian Boxing Day/Week of bargains. Gave my old tv to my brother and he couldn’t be happier and I now have a Sony 55” 4K/Dolby Vision set (55X900F) Movies look great but still love the image my 4K e-shift JVC projector produces for my UHD/Video Games -

The thing that really hurts is that these farmers will still vote for the piece of shit president because he does the bigliest deals with his HUGE vocabulary of words. -

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle 3.25/5 I didn’t mind it. Jack Black does a great job playing a girl and liked the slightly more adult tone in comparison to the original Jumanji movie. Nice seeing the nods back to the first film as well. I watched this in 4K and is one beautiful looking disc and the Atmos track did a great job too. Wouldn’t mind seeing what the 3D would of looked like but don’t think I will import to see for the price it sells for overseas

The Christmas Chronicles 4/5 I’m not the biggest Xmas movie fan but I really enjoy this film. Kurt Russell is just awesome as Santa and I liked his attitude and his anger at the way the world sees him as nothing but an out of shape jolly HOHOHO’ing old man. I would love to see them do another one if they can come up with the right script for it. Highly recommend watching it this evening or on Xmas day

Movies Cinemablend's Top Five Horror Movies of 2018
silentbob replied to skillzdadirecta's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I have only seen Upgrade and loved it, but I wouldn’t consider it a Horror movie. I don’t even think the ideas it brings up are scary. It’s a great sci-fi and action movie but not horror -
Staying home but ordering in some Chinese Food for the family tonight. Maybe watch a movie of some sorts and off to bed. Xmas day it’s morning presents, back bacon and egg breakfast, and off to my sisters to visit her and my nieces for more presents and supper. Nothing too exciting

Teen Titans! Go To The Movies 3/5 I’m not a huge fan of the tv series (like the mature version) The tv spots worked for me and found a cheap copy to buy. It is pretty much a pg Deadpool movie. Very meta and 4th wall breaking. They don’t hold back on making fun of themselves movie wise. It has one great cameo that hopefully no one has ruined, great back to the future moment and a funny extended “Martha” conversation from Batman and Superman. Still with all that said, it seem to drag a bit even with a 84 minute runtime. Still enough laughs to recommend a viewing

Since it became legal in Canada they have allowed the provinces to pick/choose how it would be sold. In Ontario (where I live) we have our liquor sold through government run stores called the LCBO and The Beer Store. Only in the past few years have they allowed some grocery stores to sell beer and wine. Before Doug Ford won the election for Ontario Premier, the Liberals we’re going to sell Marijuana through select government run LCBO stores. All that changed when Canadian Trump came in, scrapped that plan and would allow it to be sold through private retailers who applied for an application. They were going to allow I think over 100 stores to open, but have now dropped that to 25 for April 1st because of the shortages happening up here. Should give some states an idea on what to do/not do.
