Man I trying it out and chatgpt is a fucking SQUARE it won’t write any songs about pooping for me at all wtf it thinks poop in general is offensive I need @legend to release something less restricted
I stand by my claim of more than 10 years that chat bot AI is the most boring form of AI! Large language models haven’t changed that opinion“Here’s a bunch of hallucinated nonsense”

Enjoy! I love my deck so much. If you enjoy Switch, the Deck feels like the next gen version of it. And if you are an avid Steam player (which I believe you are), having that whole library brings it to another level.

Even if you're no good at following the beat, the game goes out of its way to help you stay on-beat. For example, all attacks off-beat are delayed so that they strike on-beat, so if you attack as soon as any attack lands, you're on-beat. This means even if you keep whiffing openers, you should be able to keep on-track from there. (And you can just time your openers to the cat pulsing.)
I'm aware. Yet I still seem to only get C's on the "just timing" and things just feel off. If I could tell you what's going wrong, I wouldn't have made the post that I did

Turn off that option and play it like a hack n slash.
I could, but it feels like I'd be missing the thing that makes it stand out and would be left with something more generic.
I want the rhythm combat to work, but for some reason I can't seem to sync with it. Maybe I'm just bad at rhythm when I'm also trying to fight and too many prior game biases cloud my timing of attacks. But if that's true, I wish there were better feedback about what's going wrong. They have a lot of tools to "show" you the timing of the beats, but they don't really do anything to tell you why they think you're off. So even if it is my fault for not doing it right (rather than input latency or some other issue in the game), it comes off feeling arbitrary and ultimately unsatisfying.

I can't seem to find the rhythm in this game. I can play trombone champ and get S scores on tracks, but on this it just feels like it misses more than it should. I am playing this with a wireless controller so I dunno if it's input lag or something but it just feels wrong.
Not that I'm the most musically inclined person by any stretch, but for some reason this doesn't feel like it syncs right and that kind of ruins the appeal of fighting to the beat.

Yep, still runs like poopoo with raytracing.
They really need to multithread the code. But if they didn't already do the substantial work to do that in the lead up to this patch, I don't see them doing it now.

Guess it's time to give it another try on my apparently ancient 3080

Getting OGL vibes.

Pizza is just cooked dough with stuff on top. If you do it right you can put lots of different things on it. You pizza bigots.

Was that patched in later? I haven't played since week 1 or 2 of launch
Hmm think it was there from the start. Pretty sure I got it when it came out and it was there. Well, at least since it's full release. (The game was in early access for a while so it might not be been in some of the pre-release versions).

Rogue legacy 2 despite being more forgiving than it's predecessor and some other games in the genre is still incredibly difficult I would never ever recommend it to somebody who doesn't care for roguellikes and is "bad at games"
It's a fantastic game but definitely not for everyone
Have you actually looked at the accessibility options? You can tune it way down. Disabling the contact damage alone makes it drastically easier.

You recommended rogue to somebody who said they're not good at video games? You are sadistic.
Rogue has a shocking number of accessibilities options to make it easier without even taking away your achievements. So yeah, I recommend it!

This is exactly why I dislike roguelike games right there. Plus I suck at videogames.
You might enjoy Rogue Legacy 2. When you reach a boss, you can lock the world if you lose and teleport right to it on your next life. Makes it far easier to learn the patterns.

I mean, it's the right thing to do. But man, it is going to be difficult to keep the show going.

Agreed that encouraging immigration is the right solution. Too many countries want to become Solaria.

I think my preference would be to calibrate it with the screen center rather than always at the camera.
That is, if the person is looking at their screen where the participates are rendered, render it as them looking at the camera.
If they are looking somewhere else, show that as looking away from the camera.

Jesus Christ could people please stop handing out money for Call of Duty.

I'm both looking forward to it, and am glad it's ending!

I appreciate them doing the testing, but if there is one thing that I have no interest on doing on the Steam Deck, it's playing new graphically demanding games.
Yeah this is basically where I am. If a game is meant to be a high-quality visual experience, I'm almost surely going to want to play it on my high-end PC with my 4K OLED TV.
I suppose there are exceptions where it's a game I'd like to replay having already had the full experience, and then it being able to run on Deck would be nice for travel. But those games are few.
Mostly my Steam Deck is for
Vampire Survivorsrogue lites which are not very demanding. -

"Struggling to find workers willing to work for slave wages, fast-food restaurants are turning to a new solution: slave robot labour."
Incidentally, "slave robot" is in some sense redundant, because the word comes from "robota" which referred to unpaid forced labor.

Really never considered PSVR but IF I DID i'd hope that GT7 was patched and not a completely new 60-70 game. I don't know this to be true but I have GT7 deluxe edition and I still haven't played it....lol
That's right, it's a free patch. From the article:
QuoteThrough a free upgrade, for those who have already purchased Gran Turismo 7, players will experience all cars and tracks in VR like never before

I was not really a fan of Halo 4 and wasn't interested in 5, but I really like Infinite and it feels deserving of the Halo name, which is not a statement I make lightly because Halo holds a special place in my heart and memories.
So it's only fitting that MS screws them up and then fires a sizeable chunk of them when they finally are onto something good (despite leadership apparently).
I tried to get ChatGPT to tell me about the IGN boards. Apparently we were the Circle of Elders.

Actually I can understand how people can get value out of hallucinated experiences.
For AI, word hallucinations that are not tethered to anything is boring and just a magic trick, even if technically impressive. It misses the mark of what intelligent agents need to be.
Grounding language models to other senses and concepts *is* more interesting though. Language conditioned image generators, for example, at least take a step in this direction (although only a small one) and there are many other interesting things that can be done with grounding language models than word predictive chat bots.
