Humor as in farting in front of a crowd in a small village? No way these games deserve to be in the top 100 so if I have a chance to vote one of them out they are gone!

That's like, the most obvious way to be a troll in the game. I don't know of any other game series where you can sleep with a man's wife in front of him and listen to him complain about it during the act.

Ultimately you can't just can't point to many games like Fable 1/2, if any.

    Fable? @legend

You mean Project Ego and what the game was promised to be? :p

Fable was a great time and I have amazing memories with it but it's not a top 100 game.

The game was deeply flawed but also stood out from the rest. Myself, my wife, and many of my friends got a lot of playtime out of it doing really goofy shit in the world that you just can't really do in many, if any, other games. Humor was super on point. I might also have to include Fable 2 in the list, but Fable started it, so it was a bit more obvious of a choice.

If you broke Wyll out of his contract and saved his dad (the duke) then he offers to take her to Avernus if he chose to become the Blade of Avernus instead of the next duke of Baldur's Gate, even pre-patches, but she can refuse and die still. Supposedly the only way to go with them pre-patch was if you became a mindflayer, but you couldn't go with her alone no matter what because reasons.

Yeah that's a weird set of conditions!

Beat the game, the final choices for the main ending were kinda... meh, IMO.

1.) Give a lying manipulating fuck the netherstones making him potentially all-powerful

2.) Become a mindflayer so you can wield the netherstones properly (going against everything you've been trying to avoid in this entire game) and potentially be turned into a thrall by the Emperor because he's a dick

3.) Free Orpheus and either let him become a mindflayer or go back to where you become a mindflayer but without the potential of being the Emperor's bitch

    :|

Supposedly you can have one of your companions become a mindflayer instead, but it didn't give me the option. I would've chosen Gale as Mystra probably turns him back or something.

I chose letting Orpheus become a mindflayer because I sure AF wasn't gonna do it, then for my companions...

Karlach was my bae, so I chose to go with her to Avernus. Because of this is played a scene with the two of us going there and an army of demons coming for us with Karlach feeling better, lighting up a cigar, and saying "you ready?" as we both draw weapons and run towards the demons. However, it didn't show any of the other characters resolving anything; Gale asked what to do with the crown, I told him to give it to Mystra - Astarion starting burning in the sun and ran off - Lae'Zel said she would go fight the evil queen-god - I told Orpheus not to kill himself and just watch his people from afar - Wyll is going to be the Blade of Avernus but I told him not to come with me and Karlach (he's a cockblock for even trying to go with us) - I have no idea what's going on with Shadowheart, Jaheira, Halsin, or Minsc (I didn't get Mithara).

Pre patch, apparently Karlach just explodes on the dock

I’ve never played an Assassin’s Creed game except for the very first one on PS3.  It ain’t my type of game and this one looks even to be more stealthy and less combat. Eewwwwww

I'm not saying you'll enjoy any of the AC games, but you really can't base your decision on the first one. Although the first has a few fans, by large most people agree it didn't actually deliver until the AC2 trilogy (which, yes, is a weird thing to say).

And then the Origins and Odyssey games are entirely different beasts from that.

Double jump and air dash is huge. I’m loving this. Dogtown looks fantastic, lots of character and the huge black market makes up some for not being able to enter many buildings still. They did a good job making the stakes so high right away that it never feels awkward taking place in the middle of the original cyberpunk campaign.

They also gave V a really good incentive for following it through on a personal level!

Oh yeah this is so good. Almost forgot how good movement during combat felt. And should be even better once I get double jump and air dash. What an opening so far and I didn’t even get to Idris yet. Fucking astonishing looking.

My biggest lament going Reflex and blades (and tech ability) is I almost never need to use the guns. And that's a lament because a lot of the guns are fun! But I can just jump anywhere, stab people through the chest, reflect bullets, and enter an invincibility mode if I start taking damage. So the guns are kind of unnecessary :p

I did use guns for that first PL boss though, so that's something!

I really dislike the scanning stuff. Like turn off camera. Controll gun turret. Etc. Boring and tedious af

So don't? :p You can swap out your cyberdeck (the thing that lets you hack) for other things like slowing down time for others (but not you), or making you temporarily invincible and then not only do you not have to scan/hack, you can't!

Playing as a "street samurai" character, I absolutely swapped out my cyberdeck for temporary invincibility!

Nothing poor about Musk's position.  But like I said, he's easily manipulated.  The left could have molded him into something that they could tolerate, but they really dropped the ball.  I guess it shows that the right is much better at playing the game than the left.

Okay, go. Tell me your grand plan about how the secret order of the left would go about "molding" Musk and keeping him thinking that the entire progressive population is on his side. Do we hold the meetings on Wednesdays like last time?

  12. I find this pretty sad.

(Josh was the director of Pillars of Eternity 1/2 and later Pentiment)

It sucks that he sees this as very unlikely, because the message should have been that gamers want these kinds of games and MS owns one of the few studios who is capable of competing with Larian in the space, if they were given the budget. MS ought to jump on that opportunity.

  13. BTW, to anyone who hasn't started yet, I wanted to say that the Dark Urge "resist" really ought to be the "canonical" origin and story. It ties in very deeply the main story and resolves nicely.

I totally get why there is a no-background character. It's DnD: you might want to RP a different kind of character origin. But Dark Urge resist is awesome and shouldn't be missed. And you can play it with any appearance, so you're not quite as locked in as another origin character.

Origins and Odyssey are 2 of my favorite games of the last 10 years. Odyssey is the only game in the series that I've beaten twice. Valhalla started out fun, but holy shit did it wear out its welcome. That game went on 20-30 hours longer than was necessary, and I'm shocked I actually lasted until the end.

If Mirage is scaled back, that's a good thing. Bigger and more bloated is definitely not the direction they needed to go after Valhalla.

I did not manage to finish Valhalla :p

I think that game's biggest mistake was how unexciting loot was. I would go out of my way to get some special armor or something, only to find it's absolute dog shit because it needs to upgraded through a long grind to match my current equipment that I could instead just invest into my current equipment.

Essentially, it felt like a massive grind and you never got anything good for the grind.
