Calc 3 was probably the first class where there were hints of actual math and I loved it. Probably my favorite undergrad math course. I then promptly took no more "official" math courses mainly because of scheduling. But naturally, I've learned a lot of real math after that.

Math is taught terribly. That's not a knock on the recent changes in method. I think those are actually for the better. Just across the board its taught in the most soul sucking way. They teach you how to be a computer rather than how to do math. They are not the same thing. Incidentally, I regularly programmed my TI-83 to solve math problems so that I didn't have to in HS. That's the point of the computer. Actual math is far more interesting.

I don't especially care for her music, but for the amount of fame she has, she seems unusually level headed and smart. So I have no problems with this.

After I masochistically finished RDR2 when it came out, I then started God War (2018). I nearly cried tears of joy at the substantially better controls that I was immediately able to use to do what I wanted.

Well, at least it would take unique well thought out plans to make it control worse

Halo is not the cause of the current state of FPS shooters. Halo's style itself is overshadowed by the current trends and is hard to find.

I fully intend to buy this on day one and be moderately entertained.

Not everything is for everyone. But Halo was and remains an amazing game. I played a lot of PC shooters back then too: The *original* (as in Quake 1) TF, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Tribes, etc. More story driven "first person" games like Deus Ex were also one of my favorite games of the time. (Deus Ex still ranks really high for me). Halo still stole my and my friends time more than any other shooter at the time though.

Have there been that many? I only know of the Golden Joystick awards and BG3 won it and swept many of the other awards.
