  1. I never misunderstood Microsofts standing with the Series S. I fell they were very upfront at the beginning. A 1440p target all digital machine with the Series x being the next gen console. I didn't like the idea of developers having to make games for such different graphical power, but there wasnt any misunderstanding, and dont see how there could've been.

  3. Guess I'm naive? I think not, I never once thought that the white one on the right was only missing a disc drive! Did you? Next gen performance was to mean 1440p. I always got that, but the fact that it's not achieving that is troubling to be sure! The Series X in my eyes was always marketed as a 4k / 60 box, the fact that I do not own one is another story for another day. I was never ever interested in the white for this reason alone. It's had not a single thing about a disk drive or not... Sorry to those people out there that bought a Series S and thought they saved 200 bucks on a disk drive....

  5. This just solidified my personal belief that these consoles released to early. I for the first time was still enjoying my xbox 1x and ps4 pro (but having a really good gaming pc makes a difference). Some of these new tricks and graphical lighting options are just to power hungery. 4k / 60 is hard with graphic leaps happening like they are.i love love love new tech, but these are a bit early IMHO. I think we will get upgrades much earlier than the ps4pro and xbox1x happened. I'm wanting 4k/120 as a more viable option and that's just not happening right now on titles like CP2077, Assassins creed, spiderman, ghosts, etc. I think I just might make it to these new console mid gen upgrades this time. Cool that there out there, sucks that their impossible to get, but it's making me get past the initial shiny new toy case, thus saving my wallet a bit longer. That said, I'd go buy a ps5 tomarrow if I could just go in and get it at a store! I have a 2080ti pc so holding off on a series x will be even easier. Saving right now for a rtx4080 pc as I type this. That's what novemberish 2023? I'm hoping so, if not bill have to bite and get a 3090 but I want a huge upgrade when I do it, a 2080ti to a 40series should be amazing for 5 years the way I build/upgrade
  6. I hate these lists so much!! I just went and put Spelunky 2 and Hades in my Steam cart! I haven't even ever heard of Hades, where have I been? Spelunky 2 has always been on my radar but I do get frustrated with overly hard games. With games like Ghost of Tsushima still to get {I haven't played anything on my PS4 Pro except Destiny2 all year!} I end up buying them all up like a Steam sale!! I really really want Hases on Switch but am worried about frame rates so I end up buying them all on PC or xbox, ps4. Guys How well does Hades run on Switch, is the game cross play save file wise and who has it on switch and another console to better compare them? Thanks... Well shit too late bought them both {Spelunky2 and Hades} on steam for $37 something! This way I can play them on my MSI GTX2070 laptop too if I want... Trick is to hold off on Ghosts till Cyberpunk 2077 is finished. I've made it this far!
  7. ..... Stop now if your easily bored reading any of my needlessly long replays or topics. I never know how to shorten any opinion, experience, or advise. I apologize far ahead of time. Also upfront I ask for help if anyone can simplify and help my better understand what is probably an easy hacking minigame for the greater gaming public, it just flies over my head for some reason. Ok, here goes... So I'm now 10 hours into CP2077 on PC and liking it so far for the most part. I was a bit worried how the performance would be, but they were unfounded worries. This game runs wonderfully @1440p with DLSS on and a few tweaks obviously. I'm using word for word the recommended setting ( HERE ) from PCGamer.com. scroll down a bit to get to their summary of recommended settings and tweak from there if you have better or worse than my 2080Ti. I haven't seen a dip at all, from 60fps. It maintains 55-60 constant with Vsync on (playing on a Samsung Q8fn 65" Qled TV) Gotta say I'm completely baffled on the hacking minigame! I just feel stupid and completely do not understand it. Makes me feel stupid. Also the inventory, the upgrading system, skill tree and weapon comparison screen also are needlessly complicated. This game reminds me so much of Deus Ex and for the most part that's a good thing. Thst said it's not a very smooth experience at least for me. One thing I really do not like is how anywhere for the most part you can just grab shit. Jump over a counter in a resturant grab everything and anything useful walk away! Same with people houses, and enemy hideouts too. Just grab what you like and your good. No need to have anyones back turned, unless you fighting already noones gonna mind that your taking there everything! ...lol Just weird and odd. This isnt a realistic game I know, but really? Also gunplay is a bit sway'yee? Just not very tight. Again, this is an RPG first I know, FPS second but just feels off. Driving to is just off, not really very good. Not a racer I know, but it's just not right! I always seem to go just over side to side when aiming, driving, etc. The graphics we all know by now are very impressive and you'll stop many times to just stop and enjoy your environment. Looking forward to just exploring tonight and not be influenced by a mission or anything. Lots to see, the map is already crammed with shit to do, see, and plenty already to get you into trouble I've found. BUGGS: At just under 10 hours into it, I've had 3 hard crash to desktop! Two were in a row from a certain spot. Had to load a save earlier on that one and was able to proceed. The other was just driving minding my own business and CRASH! Haven't had any bugs really but one. Once I had a gun hovering in the air shooting me out in the open, slowly killing me yet I couldn't do anything to it. I've been saving often because of the shit I've read mostly so only had to reload a save from 5 minutes before and it was fixed. In closing: If you scored games by 10 hours of gameplay and that it I give the experience so far a 7 / 10. Better performance then I expected, thank goodness!!! I feel stupid for feeling my Gaming PC was out of date already. It was litterly my dream PC just 1 1/2 years ago...lol I'm feeling good about being able to hold off now for another GPU series to be released to build my next Dream Gaming PC. Looking forward to the gaming really opening up and showing it's crazy world and story to me. On my way to meeting Johnny sooner or later Happy holidays my fellow gaming community, I fucking hope your next year is so much better than this year has been. I know at least for our family bit just cant get much worse than the last 2.....

  9. Exactly what happened to me with Deus Ex! 2x I tried and I just couldn't get into it. One day well over 2 years later I built a new pc, one that could really push newer graphics not that it's my main focus. Pushed through about 6 hour into it from a brand new save a Holy Shit moment. I FRIKK'IN LOVE DEUS EX! way up there in my short list of must plays. After all the back and forth, I couldn't hold off any longer and bought Cyberpunk 2077. Personally I really need to see how well it will run on my aging Gaming PC. I've decided to hold off on not only the new consoles (availability was a huge factor in the early days) until the inevitable 1-1/2 - 2 year refresh ala: ps4 to PS4Pro & Xbox 1 to Xbox 1 X. But to also not get a 30series video card no matter when or if they become available. Trust me, I frikk'in love tech, but I'm planning on building a brand new beast gaming rig in later 2022 or 2023 when ever nvidias 40series launches. I have to get some more mileage out of my 2000 dollar rig. This will suck, but it's worth it, we know there will be a super up version of these new consoles. Back to CP2077. I own it, its installed and hoping Monday to put some hours onto it. I feel my card should run it very well @1440p looking forward to seeing some eye candy. I will knowingly have to push past the beginning, I struggle in many games in the beginnings. My 2080ti, i79700k, 32gigs ddr4 3200 better be good to me.....lol
  10. Absurd amount of time spent in GT1 & 2! I was just blown away by the replay options, wow just wow! Different camera angles and the ability to see from any car in the race was simply unheard of! What a game. Never gave GTS anytime but in its hay'day it was the top dog. Also a huge fan of Ridge Racer and I miss how games made me feel back then. Interested in seeing how it evolves on the PS5. Not that I'll have one anytime soon!
  11. WOW, IGN: Cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 and xbox 1 base consoles Big Apologies for my ability to ramble seemingly forever about very little ahead of time... I have read and seen the base ps4 and xbox1 statements about this game and I'm just blown away. I hadn't though watched any footage of the game being run on them. Giving IGN reliability here to as I greatly disagree on a large number of there statements, reviews, anything really they print...lol This though here is so huge. Someone high up needs firing here simple as that. I have agonizingly watched as the ps5, the series X, new RTX 30series cards were rolled out just chewing at the bit to buy one and to play this game. I managed to not buy any of them. I did try for a few minutes on each but I'm not one to try that hard on these paper launches. That said, I truly thought that this gen, this one would be the one to get me 4k/60 [minimum] all bells and whistles on and be done with it. After seeing that even the 3090 isn't there yet, wow just wow. I feel like I dodged a big one here I mean in what to expect for this next gen. I'm now happily able to wait for my next BIG PC build until the 40series cards. This wont be easy, but I was bitten a little bit by buying a 2080Ti in mid 2019 so I feel this is financially the better way to go. . I do only want to play this game on PC, so I guess I'm waiting for now a very long time. I will buy the consoles as they become available late first quarter 2021, but man we still aren't quite there yet when were talking best standards to take advantage of all there is to offer. I know the 3090 is a beast, but it's not 2x a 3080 and it needed to be. God I love gaming, but circumstances starting way back in 2018 {Nov 9th to be exact} many of you know about have caused me to be very picky in what I buy now and this has NEVER BEEN THE CASE BEFORE! In closing: Just a little bit of patience here is so needed in these fucked up times, and consoles and games and graphic are far from very important when we stop and look at the state of the world we live in right now. I'm gonna be in all these threads reading and watching you all enjoy this newest tech and games, and I'll catch up soon enough I hope. For those that have CP2077 on the base consoles though, what a shit show. This game could've used every bit of another 12 months to develop for, that's crazy for a 8year old announced game. blows me away, but we can not let practices like these go. We are there everything, releasing a game knowing that it's unplayable on these machines is absolutely unacceptable to say the very least... God, I still want this game. Saved from myself only by being overwhelmed by the games that GamePass has been offering and dumping on top of me. Game on guys, enjoy. Be grateful for what we have now, feel empathy to those suffering in horrendous ways just wishing that a game they bought but won't run was there biggest blow to there lives....
  12. Mostly Destiny2, but thanks to Gamepass I have been alternating from D2 to Control, and also about to fire up SW: Fallen Order too! I gotta say, after hearing for so long how great control's graphics are and finally getting to play it. I'm so not impressed. Yea, I'm on an Xbox1X but it's just not a looker. The red is also really tiresome on the eyes too. I'm saying this because Destiny 2 is just a gorgeous game overall. I am liking the gameplay slot so far, it's quite different obviously and a much needed distraction from Destiny lately. Still wanting so bad to experience Raids in Destiny2! I have played alot over the years on the playstation 3, and 4, now after being able to take my game save to the Xbox1x I'm enjoying it far more. I really do not like the Ps4 controller for shooter! I just have no friends anymore. That dsmned fire really changed alot for me and my online friends. Were just scattered in the wind now. I guess losing an entire town will fo that. Anyone out there needed a friend for D2 plz for God's sake send me that invite. I'm not great, but I'll be there to revive you in your need, and I do have a good headset!
  13. Thinking that your PC is a good rep to the experience that I probably would have I think? I do not have the 3080 {I FRIKK'IN WISH} but I have a 9700k and 32 gig ddr4 3200 and of course only a 2080Ti ? Thoughts?
  14. wow, I want this game bad but sadly like so many things lately it'll have to wait. Surprised to hear its struggling that bad on series x I really am. I was hoping maybe 144p ultra settings on, ray tracing off, maybe DLSS on on my 2080ti would be a good option, maybe not now...
  15. So very proud of myself actually!! I didn't buy SW: Jedi fallen order, or Control and now there both on GPU { GamePassUltimate }. This service is amazing as I have said a few times now. I want to know what you all think. Do you think that GP 10.99 & GPU 14.99 will remain that price? Though I want these games more on PC, getting them both without buying them at the Normal Me 59.99 feels incredible! I don't see how they can keep it that cheap. Or I'm subscribing to a service where I feel I'm getting my moneys worth. Feels strange to not have to justify an expense..lol Thoughts guys/gals?
  16. WELL HELL!!! I just noticed that neither next gen consoles have Optical audio out! Ouch, the above mentioned headset wasn't cheap that's for sure! Now what? It's starting to be easier than ever to not jump on these console right away. To be honest, I would've If I could have scored a preorder for either one or both {LOL} but, it's a pretty big deal. I've already decided to wait either for a 3080Ti version on Nvidia's new cards, or just waiting a full cycle for the 40 series. I just love new hardware and it feels strange for the first time in my gaming life I won't be in it with you all for awhile. That and spending 1100 for my Zotec Extreme Amp Edition 2080Ti was just 1 year ago. This and I still don't have a VR set, what's wrong with me Enjoy your new stuff guys, I'll be watch you all dance circles around me now for awhile...
  17. This game is gonna buckle my gaming PC and it feels like I just built it. Well...that's because I did...lol I'm hoping fingers crossed that I can do 1440p with RT enabled but the way it's looking 60fps is probably a pipe dream damnit! Wish it was cross play, then all my bases would be covered.
  18. ASTRO A40 W/Pre amp for pc and xbox one x, I have the sony gold headset for playstation 4 pro. The A40' with pre amp are simply amazing but mother f$%#er are they expencive!
  19. Would really love to see Control ultimate edition come to GP Ultimate as I'm really wanting to use my pc and see all the bells and whistles turned on. Dought my 2080ti csn do 4k, but 1440p with all on ultimate should be fun...
  20. Yea sorry guys, I thought it was the Remake too, my bad. Plz forgive me. I was a bit to excited there. My point being, the last year or so Gamepass has blown me away and has completely changed my game buying routine. That and our circumstances of course. I now look at games that I managed to not just buy day one, and feel good at thinking it'll more than likely be out soon on GP. That is what I meant, sorry guys....
  21. Blown away by the value this service has given me at least!! In my opinion I do not see how this works for Microsoft, I mean yea 15$ (gamepass ultimate here) a month for 12 months isnt nothing, but everytime I go look at the new games there is a new game I would normally just have bought. Having a gaming pc too ultimate rocks too! Now this hasn't been normal times for me in over 2 1/2 years. Not just Covid19 have you, but the loss of our home, my son, job, Etc, etc has really made me watch my wallet like I cant remember. So along comes Gamepass. I normally would have bought FF7 remake day one, but watching our budget a bit and all be damned, look here it's on game pass! I look today and looky here again, SW: Fallen Order another game I would've forked 60 bucks for and not looked back. This it's on GP too now! I feel like if I just close my eyes and wish now the games I want will be there! Games like Control I've almost bought that multible times over the last 2 months, and Ghosts too, anyday now right...lol? In the long and short of it, it'll save me hundreds of bucks easily. I'm thinking easily the cost of the new Series X (that of course I do not have....lol) normally if in stock a ps5 and new Xbox SX would've been day ones too! I am getting older and though new games still give me that feeling, and I get hyped. Bundled along with a long string of new circumstances, my wallet stays shut more often than not. God in the back of my mind, I still Crave that new shiny console, that new Rtx3080, etc. With a whole trunk load of games in my backlog, shit ton of offerings from Microsoft from GP its seems like there reading my mind somedays. I'm humble for how we have rebounded from a just mother fucker of a 30 or so months, I feel like I'm actually under paying for a service that is GP. That's rare these days....
