  1. Hey fellow Patchers, Animal Crossing Question here? I've always wanted to find a game my wife could really get into and enjoy playing. She can't play any "Games" where there are quick movements, shifting cameras, bosses, anything technical in anyway! I was looking at Animal Crossing for Switch. She loves those mindless candy crush games, games like fishdom, and clock maker, most all of those jewel quest games, stuff like that! CCrush being her most played game. Of course to me, non of these games are gaming, at least to me. I would love this boards opinion on weather or not you think she could get into this game? She does love simple games where you design your own town and property, moving lamps, adding fish tanks, planting trees etc. What game was in on facebook where you did all that? Townsville or farmville? something like that, she loved that game. I've also read that it takes a lot of time to really be able to build what you want, though this might fall into her own hands because she needs time to learn how something navigates right? This seems like a perfect fit but I'm unsure. Is this way more complicated than say Farm Ville of FB? It can't be complicated in any way though...lol this dragon game on her phone from the play stor that you drag stuff with your finger and collect eggs to merge into dragons with a tiny feel of civilization as in layout of land? She seems to enjoy things require daily tasks if in moderation. Like how Farmville had her harvesting tree stuff in a timely fashion. She did love to show me hew farm all the time, she was proud of it. so to end this! Simple, run around and build, collect, vision and creation must be very easy to understand. Thanks guys really so . . Is the THE GAME for here or what? Recommend or not? Thanks, if it's a yes I'm buying it right then for her and have my fingers crossed!
  2. Makes a lot of sense! Sadly even after a glowing overview from my brother a few years back, I never even gave Overwatch a look. I know that he plays it every day to this day. I have never good at shooters and fames like this online. I can admit I just wasn't blessed with the reflexes they take to be good. Be it COD, Overwatch, Battlefield, Battlefront, PUBG, or Fortnight!
  3. Boy the damn fire that took our house and town and everything we ever owned sucked ballz. That said, I had just gotten to the point where I was able to just give my oldrr computer components to those in need. I always just gave and never asked for anything. It felt good. I hear so many here that would be so greatful for these parts. I've built my own pcs now well over 20 years and I love it. Though now I'm far from in any boat where I could donate said pards sadly anymore. Lucky to even have a roof over our heads. I'm only saying this to point out how awesome these board is with its pc enthusiast and there willingness to just give fir the sake of giving. Over the years I too had given many items and I miss it so much. If I still had my boxes of PC GPUs and CPUs and consoles and the like. I would gladly help these guys, i only wishbone could! Good luck on your builds and upgrades, Master Racers Rejoice!
  4. Might do that to get rid of my 860 Evo in the future. The difference in speeds actually wow'd me..... I Just ran two different Disc benchmarks on my drives to see just what speeds I would be losing and what I'm gaining from my NvME M.2 vs my SSD. The 970 Evo {500 GB} that houses the Operating system is getting exactly what you said, 3500 read and 2400, and the Regular 860 Evo {1TB} is only like 550 read. I thought I would be held back far more than the 3k reads wow! M.2. Bench.JPG - Google Drive DRIVE.GOOGLE.COM Capture.JPG - Google Drive DRIVE.GOOGLE.COM I'm tired of how much I'm currently using for a gaming drive to, only like 500 gigs of the 1TB is games. I really have been wanting a dedicated Game drive since I built this PC. The cost though from 1TB - 2TB is tough right now with bigger purchases on the horizon! But Even a 1TB 970 Evo again would be wonderful, it's 7x the speed of the 860 evo! I had no idea it was that slow, it's just I can't seem to click buy on the 2TB and that's what I really Really want! Knowing I have nothing plugged in my 2nd sata port thus making the top M.2 drive ready to go is pushing me to buy this weekend. I just deleted about 200gigs of games to install a few ne Gamepass games...lol
  5. How'd that happen....lol Don't think there another title out there where I put the amount of hours into a game than Diablo II. Kinda scary when I think about it. That said, I really want a Diablo 4. I can't see them launching a game with issues like 3 did throughout the first year & Beyond really. To date it's incredible the 180 it did from D3 to Reaper of Souls. Bummer, I need a new Diablo in my life. I'll buy a D2 remake day one just to have it!
  6. Nice, I'll grab it and put it in the pile! I started it on Xbox1X but couldn't really get into it. Only put about 5 hours in so I hope to get back to it at some point.
  7. Agree wholeheartedly! Well said. Its short, fun, interesting story wise and isn't hard or frustrating in anyway. You'll most likely enjoy it too.
  8. Perfect, exactly what I needed to know. So I will be buying a 2Tb NvME M.2 4th gen for future Proofing then. As in a year and a Half I'm doing a complete new rebuild anyways with hopfully a 3080Ti if there announced and a new Z-490 Mobo. Hell by then I might just go AMD CPU for the very first time. So to be strait, as long as I don't have a SSD drive in my #2 Sata port The top M.2 Slot is good to go losing only the Gen 4 speeds for now until an upgraded Mobo right? But still faster than a say 970 SSD square black ones? I get confused at times as there both called SSD right? lol
  9. I know the second M.2 slot on my Asus Z-390A motherboard shares bandwidth with the data 2 port or something like that. There are 6 Sata ports and I have a 500gig Ssd plugged in the bottom middle row, pretty sure it's not the shared one. So in the bottom M.2 slot with the motherboard heatsinks houses a 500 gig 970evo. I've been watching the process come down quite a bit on M.2 so I'm eyeing a 1 or 2Tb m.2 drive just for gaming that's currently empty just above my 2080Ti and just below my cpu. Will a be waisting bandwidth or speeds if I put another m.2 driven there? I'm confused a bit by the manual. My 390 motherboard is also gen behind if wanting the fastest speeds? With a plan Jane HD ssd 2 tb be better for the money because that slot is sharing bandwith with a pci slot? I'm confused. Am I better off with just a second data ssd like a 970evo or a second M.2 1Tb speed wise strictly for gaming? Thanks guys
  10. Thanks, kinda how I figured it. See looky me, Doom Eternal Ultra settings 280Fps!! Me completely humbled @4k Ultra/ 60 having to always check that V-sync box. So when I get my new TV toys I'll have the option to play 4k / 120 or 60 Xbox & Ps5, and when I get my new PC built of buy a new GPU I'll have that option too with V-sync checked depending on if the game can handle the 120 right? Thing is, the cost to performance is gr8 with the new GPU's well the 3080 that is, but not that gr8 of an upgrade from my 2080Ti. Sound silly to upgrade even if I could get one. The 3090 is unreasonable to me at that cost. So being not made of money, the Console will have to do first after the TV's. The smart guy in me is telling me to just wait out this entire 30series Gen entirely! The 40series isn't that far off really. This Covid shit though even fucks up that natural line of progression. As the cards are taking so long to get to us the consumer there's an extra 12 months before new GPUs will even be a thing! Where as I see it, if all was normal, in 12 months the 3080 would be going on 16 months old and the new shiny faster cards would be just that much closer. There is one good thing, the TV's I'm eagerly awaiting to pounce on aren't hard to get now and there only going to be getting cheaper the next 12 months. Why can't I just be happy with what I have now. Why am I dieing to spend 8k at least on 2 Oled TV's, 2 new consoles, and a new gaming PC? LOL I can't figure myself out, at least I just saved 45 bucks on The Medium....lol Thank you GamePassUltimate!
  11. Oh ok ouch. Then when these guys are showing off there 157fps in Tomb Raider let's say, (I truly do not care, I just want smooth gaming period!) they have a 144htz or higher monitor? I never see tear so I guess thsts it. I dint know gSync is ran with vsync, kinda seems weird, so then what does gSync do exactly? V-Sync would work on a lgcx too anyway then, just giving you the option of 4k/60 & 4k/120 if you have the gpu hardware and depending on the game. Cyberpunk2077 = No 4k/120...lol
  12. Love love love games like this. Only game on my Radar for 2021 is Resident Evil: Village so I'm so excited. Then after just about to buy it last night (It's in my Cdkeys shopping cart) I just read on IGN its launching strait into GAMEPASS!!!!! I KNOW IT probably not, but fingers crossed for it being on PC to on GPUltimate... --------------------------------- HOLY SHIT GUYS & Gals, It is on PC too Gamepass Ultimate! WOW! I literally was going to buy this, never once even thought it would launch on GPU day one. Presently surprised, I'm gonna be all over this this weekend. After I beat Resident Evil 3 Remake on Xbox One X because my Daughter dropped it off while she was visiting last weekend. Looking forward to that. 10/10 I give the RE2 Remake so amazing......
  13. Yea I know, I always have to enable V-sync to not have screen tear, I was just asking those of us on here if you do use a TV as you PC monitor like I have now for 5 years other than having V-sync on how do you game without tearing? I'm talking tvs without G or Free Sync. It sucks to have you frames limited like that but I've always been fine with it as a compromise to being able to play on a 65" TV vs a 120/144/320 mhz monitor with VRR So if I have a LG CX with it's VRR, I could then have V-sync unchecked with my 2080Ti and not have screen tearing? I could let my Graphics fee do push higher frames right? I'm liking say CP2077 because it's able to pretty much lock 60fps but games like Doom I'm never able to actually see just what my cards can do because of screen tearing. So? when I hook this PC up to my new Oled it will have VRR on auto so to speak and I can then game with V-sync off or just how is this done, plz explain. Always seems that all the look at me stuff with GPU's is seeing just how many FPS our cards can do, but If I have to have V-enabled anyways I'm always held back when just enjoying the quality of the game play other than high FPS and screen tear. On the LG can I set the GPU free or not, Thanks ahead of time explaining this a bit more to me. It's appreciated man really guys...
  14. Just RE: Village and maybe Scorn I know i'll buy at least 20-40 more this year, but those are on my radar for this Year. Hoping Village is this year without any delays...
  15. This is stupid, but I just realized that My 2080Ti GPU isn't HDMI 2.1 Don't laugh. So The rush isn't as bad as I was making it. I do feel it's better to get the TV's first even though I have like I said two great 65" TV's already the best one being the Samsung Q8fn that looks wonderful I must say. Quick question guys as I truly do not know. If you gaming on a TV how do you play without screen tearing, thus making V-sync a must? I know that these new TV's elevate this supporting VSS and G-sync and free-sync but for those that don't have those options on there 4k TV's are you all using V-sync? I know I am or it tears!. So mostly 4k / 60htz with V-sync on and I play. Looks amazing, pc can easily lock 60 fps so there that, but I was just wondering. I also don't have either of these new consoles so I'm doing a complete gaming refresh here soon enough! I wasn't planning on building my new PC until late next year at best, so DAMN! I guess I'll be grabbing a 3080Ti when announced and it's a real thing you can buy, slap it in this pc and build a 490 motherboard PC later to get it's full potential, F%^K!@!
  16. 2021 LGC1 previews Linus Tech Tips Youtube preview of LGC1 2021 TV here! Looks like there getting even better as gaming tv / monitors damnit! When these launch I'm now thinking within 2 months the LCcx 77Inch could be as low as maybe 2800-2900, that's where I'm holding out hope for, but even 3k I'm jumping on it. Then maybe go in on a LC C1 for the 65inch for the gaming room for the @080Ti gaming rig and my future Xbox series x and ps5. This new model seem to really close the game in Peak nit brightness, I don't know. I've been reading and watching everything I can on these TV's and I just know there going to be mine, PLUS guys! LG is releasing a 82inch model too for the first time in the C-line of Oleds! WOW but I'm sure it's 4k at least new. If it launches at 3200 im going for that. This is all happening very soon though as I'm starting to figure out what to do with my 65 inch Q8fn and my NU8000 65inch tvs both just 1 year old!
  17. That's sounds much more important than my TV problem obviously. Lol Good luck. ------------ This has been a motherfu$#@r past 3years for us. The camp fire in 2018, the loss of our son to brain cancer, then fucking Covid 19, I wont bore you all again with all that, this board and its member kept me sane and help tremendously. Tough times were they, and still are.... The fire took everything our whole town. Jobs with it. My wifes jobn of 27 years at 29 bucks an hour with great health care, mine of 20 years as a press operater. Were doing ok though, I'm having spinal fusion surgery in 31 days already postponed 3 times to covid beds!! Our yearly income is half what it was in 2018 but were doing ok. So many aren't working or are dieing to this virus, these years have made me very humble. I'm just now starting to rebuild what we had in a new home in a new state, new friends. New everything. Been stuck inside for a year mostly, as I font want to try out my luck or my wifes luck with this virus. Were arent young mind you. Sucks as I bought 2 65 inch tvs, one a samsung q8fn Qled and a samsung nu8000 both very nice not cheap. I need to replace them with 2 oleds though and I've been saving. I have 4k now, when the 2021 start hitting the store shelves I'm jumping on them both. Might get the 2021 65" lgc1 though for taking as it's even better than the cx. Very expencive and I'm terrified of getting burn in or having issues though to be honest I've never had a tv die ever! In any way! I'm hoping to see the 77inch very soon hit sub 3k or lower and that savings would make the 65 inch lgc1 a bit less of a hit. We shall see, what do I do with these very nice 65inch 1 year old tvs I just bought? Lol hell ones a Qled...lol Thanks guys, I want to game and movie watchmen an oled so bad, I've been through so much. Time to get this house more fun! Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted. Im shopping prices daily Ahhh fuck me, just say this years lgc1 is alot brighter and comes in 83 inches. One thing this new house has in a great theater living room with high ceilings and a perfect wall for a big screen! Originally I wanted a samsung Q80 85 inch because of the space I have, but the Lgs have been so highly reviewed I want the best for once, I want 2 tvs and be done for 8 years maybe! Is this to much to ask. Wish I could get a geek squad warrenty 5 years for 3hundred, but it's like 799! I will freak out if I buy these and have issues.
  18. can this be moved to the spawn point please, would love to read a few more views from actual purchasers....Thanks!
  19. Really getting excited, tired of waiting too. The 77 inch is 3299' ish right now and the 65 inch is 1999 I've wanted them since they first came out! I know they support gsync out of the box but what the deal with free sync and vrr? Is that out of the box or in need of a firmware update? I will own the series x and ps5 down the road, so kinda wondering!
  20. Can this be placed in a place where it can be seen plz?
  21. Ol, so it's been over 2 years now reading anything a ns everything these newer tvs offer and I finally down to simply the LGCX 77" and for my gaming room the LGC1. The big one it down to 3396 on amazon and new egg, but amazon offers a mount and a subwoofer soundbar combo bundle. The 77" will be mounted in my very large livingroom hooked to a Dolby atmos 10.2 system by this summer. I'm just really wanting some real issues out theres opinions and the things they do not like! The 65 inch will most likely be the new LGC1 when there launched. The all 4 hdmi 2.1, with dolby vision and hdr10+, and variable refresh rates, along with sun 15 input lag, just seems like the way togo. The 65 inch will be replacing my samsung 65" Qled that dosent support gsync or free sync and had other issues to. Great picture. No 4k /120 option and as a gamer this is a must these days! The 77" will be a more casual watch tv, with big inviting of guests for movie nights and the like. We love to cutlet hp and judt enjoy a good movie on a fantastic system. Any lgcX owners here on these boards having any reasons to not like this tv? Burn in, hdr10, I'd gsync comparable easily and does freesync need zn update first? And reasons you can think of right now that says no way if buy that tv be cause??? Thank you so much, looking forward to the opinions especially ones who owns this particular tv too..... Thanks so much.....
  22. thanks I really should just power up TL2 and give it a whirl as I bought it day one on steam, when will I ever learn! This Gamepass Ultimate thingy though is saving me stupid money as I get the new game itch I just log into gamepass and search the PC and Xbox list and download 1-3 games close it up and I feel better. I won't play any of the titles I just downloaded that's not how this works with me, It's just knowing I just got a few more games that holds back the earge to go get my wallet and buy something I'll never play.....lol
  23. Ok, So quite a bit further into this game now and still I'd give it about a 7 out of 10. I haven't stopped playing it and that does say a lot when your referring to me & gaming. Mainly because even though I hate it, I often won't let a game drag me along very long if im not getting much from it! I stop out of the blue in most games, and almost never look back. I never chase an achievement or a trophy and my Gametags all show just that {HardAct fucking everywhere if interested} The gun play has become a bit more fun, and more precise thank goodness. I figured out the hack mechanism as for some reason in the beginning it was flying over my head lol. Easy enough now, though getting all three lines is a bit tricky to say the least. Head scratchers they are often enough! Driving in this game is not fun in any situation. Yes! I know it's not a driving game, but!!! There a shit ton of it in the game so theres reason to say opinion wise it's not gotten any better in that way. I'm over 20 hours in and have done very little of the main quests. This is how I approach most RPG's The game is a looker for sure, I've had but 3 crashes to desktop. More than I've had in any other game in 2020/21. We know by now there are a shit ton and I mean a SHIT TON of glitches in this games. Is crazy honestly as if you really look in almost any scene there's something not right, ALWAYS! Some as simple as a item marked that you'll never be able to pick up, cars just deciding to be auto piloted, cops appearing the second something deems itself criminal. You absolutely need to save and save often to get through some missions glitching out, or for any other reason you might think of. That's not unique to this game though we know that. Again I'm running it on a 17 9700k / RTX 2080Ti Extreme Amp Edition Zotec card with 32gigs DDr4 3200 ram and its extremely stable and a rock solid 60 fps @1440p with settings used from PC Gamer. If you have a similar set up there recommendations are really good ones. There's so many settings that I was a bit overwhelmed. I have only bumped up a few here and there, and Two I lowered. It's 70% high&Ultra with a few on medium and 4 options completely off. I did try and up the res to 4k and it was a DRASTIC difference, sure I'd love to be able to play in 4k, but having it pretty much locked to 60fps using DLSS @1440p is still a wonder to look at! Lastly the temps on my PC. It's winter but you wouldn't know it in my gaming room while playing Cyberpunk 2077. So Far this is the hardest this PC has ever been push in a game. I'm using a Corsair H100i {I think} on CPU and it's running between 60-70 degrees with noticeable fan noise. The GPU is staying between 60-75 degrees, though the fan noise on this card is pretty great. I couldn't believe how much of the noise was the CPU cooler, and the GPU was pretty quiet. I tested it both ways to see what one was the audible culprit. Not a huge deal, but like I said earlier. This PC hasn't yet been pushed like this gaming. This will suck in the summer...lol I'll be done with it long before summer though! For the most part my Zotec card is amazing noise wise gaming, quietest card I've ever owned. A quick Questions: Do you think that this PC would have much of a difference if I put in a triple fan AIO cooler? Mine is just two fans obviously, I'm not worried, nor do I need to rush out and upgrade this Gaming PC I was just wondering if you thought it could make quite a bit of difference or just maybe be in the 1-5 degrees difference is all? That wouldn't matter to me, but 10 degrees would right? It's not even the temps, just the Noise, this caught me a bit of guard as I've been proud and a bit wowed kind of as to how silent this 1yr old PC is.
  24. So ridiculous that his account hasn't already been banned for life. Any other account spouting lie after lie, and warning after warning would've been gone. Shows his channel makes them money too.....Good By Mr. Trump and good riddance!!! Only way ever to somewhat make this made feel how America feels about him truly was to make him a single term President. He will have to face some humility at some point some day. I loved Loved how silently he remains as many die every day from a horrid Pandemic, golfs his way into the sunset, humiliated, the sore loser that he has always been. This man is a joke, and yes I voted Democrat and yes I'm proud, but this has damaged us tremendously not just in our hearts and on our land, but to the countries that look to us as the example, a lot hate us for it, some praise us for it most can only wish the people were as free as we are to obviously sat or do anything we feel like. I'm just so over this man, good by! So relieved the way Graham speech went, brought tears to my eyes. I'm blown away by how divided 4 years we have become as a nation. God Bless America
