  1. We figured this though right? I mean honestly? I'm bumbed that so many of us csnt just get the hardware we want when we want it, but the world's been turned upside down and hoping wont change that. Lots of money to be had reselling these highend components, supply and demand is what we're built on. Just a realist. I wish it were different, but we know better. I'm actually worried how far into 2023, holiday's?? That's worrying!
  2. Thanks man, yea I just need 2 for now, Xbox series x and Panasonic Uhd Blu-ray player. I bought 4 and 2 optical cables all will be here in 5 days, plenty of time. Thanks for the tips. From what I'm seeing anyways it's a strait drop, just normal hiding in wall and The cables were rated for that. I also bought the 7ch Outlaw amp from them directly as BB and Amazon doesn't carry it damnit. the reviews are great and I think it's being discontinued but for a 7ch amp for 1k is really great. so I just went for it. It can really push my 7 floor speakers to reference as my budget Onkyo isn't really suited for what I'm going for, but right now it's Banging the 7.2 and can still rattle the house along with the Duel SVS 1000pro subs! It's not about volume per say, it clarity at low and medium levels with out the AVR having to muddy the sound to push all channels. Haven't had an amp on any stereo or home theater in almost 22 years...lol It's all coming together now. To get 7ch amps like this Outlaw from brands like Emotive, Anthem, or Monolith are a fortune with the high-end connection and at least 150watts per. It's crazy. Here is the Outlaw 7000x 7ch amplifier , I just had to try it. It's a nice size, will fit in my space perfectly and has power and then some for my 7 surround channels. Then any AVR I get can handle the 4 remaining Atmos Heights with ease as they get the least use anyway. Anyone try this brand? Oh and 5yr warranty, that makes it a better feeling purchase!
  3. Probably just going to amp the 7 channels I have first and keep watching / learning / waiting for that one perfect 11 channel AVR when it hits.
  4. Oh I know about the receiver issues very well. This is why I haven't gotten one or even have my mind set on one. I jumped on the speakers because I saved literally 1600 bucks buying them when I did, they are now much more. But I'm rocking 7.2 right now with a budget Onkyo receiver and this is fine for now. I want this all to be perfect and am willing to wait for the right AVR. I'm thinking about waiting for the actual 2021 models as there aren't any out at all. There all 2020 with patches or dongles for 2.1 to fully work. I don't have the 4 Atmos speakers up yet and I just want to have the hardware for the in wall mounting all set and ready to go so that there just there hanging and ready to plug in when I do get what I'm looking for. I saved 1500 on the TV waiting it to drop below 5k and I have 90 price match guaranty too, so I'm good through Black Friday, Christmas, and early new years sales!!
  5. Ridiculous to make a statement like that. Ok so your opinion is that you don't like racing games, was that so hard to say. "Trash" now that's just forcing an opinion down your peers throats. Your in a Gaming / tech / etc forum you know, gotta love the internet keyboard cowboys. Enjoy your night you fine citizen you...
  6. I guess, I'm just wanting to have all the cables ready for the installers to pass through the wall wire kit even though most won't be needed for awhile. I'm sure 3 Hdmi and 1 ethernet and 1 optical cable will be a tight fit. Even worse If I have to take one or more out and have to pass them through the in wall kit, 10days away man and I'll have MY DREAM home theater over 3/4 of the way done. A 83" LG OLed is gonna be so frikkin awesome, along with one of the best rated HD Bluray you can buy, and a XSX hooked up to my 7.2 system is such a dream.
  7. I need to buy 3 12-15 ' cables that are Certified True HDMI 2.1 for my upcoming 83" LGC1 coming to be installed on NOV 27th. They have to capable of running a 3090, and ps5 and XSX {I don't own a 3090 or PS5 yet}. There all so misleading and I'm sure many of you here have already made these purchases. Sucks because I know 3m long won't cut it, and even 12' will tight'ish Anyone here recommend some great cables that won't break the bank but will future proof this TV?? I need to order these today to get them here in time. so afraid of getting ones that say "True and or Certified, etc and having issues down the line. I will have an Xbox Series X to test them with, so what do you think? I'M EYEING THESE HERE but wasn't wanting 16' but longer is better than short, inputs are all the way on one side of TV, then about 3 feet just to wall behind tv, 6' down and have some extra to reach both end of my entertainment center
  8. Oh I will, I was waiting for the Ultimate edition as the Ps4 Pro version was lacking and I lost interest early on. I'm gonna install today and throw my i7 9700k / 2080Ti at it. I love testing out how far I can push this PC till the inevitable replacement in late 2023 when hopefully we can all just buy the tech we ant and end this bullshit scalping crap! Though easily able to wait, I'm eyeing the 4080ti if and when it's time and launched...
  9. A HEADS UP: Just saw this On Amazon while shopping for HDMI 2.1 cables, CONTROL: Ultimate EDITION thing it is it's on GOG.com and I have never been on that site. Unsure if it's just another installer, were pretty used to them all by now....lol. I only tried it on the PS4 but it wasn't the Ultimate edition, this is for PC and has everything! I'm checking it out! There were 3 other games offered: 1. Dragon Age Inquisition 2. Rouge Heroes: Ruins to Tasos 3. Liberated
  10. Yea, I'm ready for a new toy of some kind. Exciting tech either way. Oled with her sounds awesome and a battery killer too.
  11. I was able to preorder the 512 version with the upgraded screen, though expensive I have been going through new tech withdrawal after not getting a ps5 or series X {Though I'm getting a XSX on Nov. 24th through BB Now} so they got my 5 bucks. I like you thought plenty of time for reviews, and even longer. After searching for information on my Reservation, I see now that it has been pushed back to 1Q 2022. I think I'm keeping it though, It just really looks amazing! Sucks because we know in 6months after release there will be a better version Pro upgrade but I'm all in on this thing, I LOVE THE CONCEPT!
  12. The MGS demo in my opinion was the best ever. The game was fantastic too. I remember seeing / playing for the first time in EB games and I was hooked. The perfect amount of content and feel. Now to answer the post question, P.T. !! I loved the demo so much, can't say the same for the game itself....lol
  13. Would love a few fletched out new pilot wings, that game just make me smile. Given the size of todays games though all previous versions would be laughable at any cost other than 19.99. Knowing Nintendo they could just do a refresh and charge 59.99 and sell 5million copies without blinking...
  14. Agreed! I also only even play with the hood view or behind the wheel and this is would be pointless at the cost to horse power. I mostly play with a wheel too, so the behind the car view although pretty, is the least realistic. Can't really say this runs yet as I have my grandson and youngest kid over for a few weeks, thus really limiting my gameplay. He's almost 2 and if I even think about firing this game up with the wheel {On pc Mind you} He's all over me, and I wouldn't have it any other way honestly. I plan on diving head on into this game in about a week, I have only made it through the intro and created my character and that was it so far... I do have it installed on a 980 1Tb Evo M.2 SSD and by then the second Nvidia driver set should be out too. I do have the current one out installed though now!
  15. That's the exact effect that the vaccines are for. Far reduced hospitalization and severe complications! Not contracting the virus. I think in that light it has made a large impact on the trajectory that we were headed in. Still 750,000 deaths is mind boggling in a country of 340million.
  16. Man, you guys even got me wanting one! That's saying something...lol My original switch is just sitting back behind my tv docked where it's been for about a month untouched except to buy and download metro dread. Before that, it's not been touched gor EVER! It's a really cool system, but it's just never really grabbed me. I think after losing my cartridge collection in the camp fire I just lost interest. I did have the console in the truck and had to find a used dock again, but I just cant rebuy all the lost ones. You guys do make us want one though...lol I'm wrapped up in some expencive projects right now and boy I just wish I had a new ps5 and series x for the 83" oled coming on the 27th! That and the new sound system I'm so blessed, and in debt fir awhile. I love new tech. I just cant put in the time to track down a ps5, I'm just not wired like that. Enjoy that screen boy and girls, I'm happy for you all!
  17. I havent run into any issues with wifi and any of my samsung tvs, or lg. I only have experience with the lgcx but I use wifi on them all. My gaming room is all the way down the far end of the house to and the samsung q8fn, and the lgcx all run perfectly. I will add, I have the strongest internet package from spectrum and it's doing great. I have a great router too. I run hulu, netflix, amazon prime video, you tube, hbo max, etc. Not a single issue. I sure hope the new 83" lgc1 dosent have issu with wifi, it is about 15 feet from the router but with a large wall between them. I also dont have or need a wifi extender. Fingers crossed the lgc1 is no different I'll close with, I dont have any "budget tvs" there all mid to high tear. I have 2 samsungs nu8000's (50" & 65") and 1 lgcx and a lgc1 coming november 27th
  18. I like you need 11 channels + two subs. My onkyo I have now though a budget avr is doing a good job with the 5.2 Why 2 front wides when you can have side surrounds? One cool thing about the svs ultra surrounds is the ability to wire bi polar, or bi-wire. I'm not doing this though. I have them as my side surrounds, and have svs prime pinnicle towers in the rear, Just a thought?
  19. Let me know in this post if you could when it arrives plz. Are you doing dolby atmos? Do you use any new consoles or 20 series or higher gpus to test vrr, dolby vision, and 4k 120 pass through? Thanks man.
  20. READY PLAYER ONE was the first movie I listen too at reference levels with the new speakers and just wow and I didn't even have the 4 prime elevations installed for the Atmos track. I'm looking wildly for a comparable 11.2 AVR as we speak, I'm hearing the Denon X6700H is now fixed if you get models shipped after may but I'm still weary. They also upped the price now too, it was 2500 everywhere and now it's 2999.99! I'll wait this price hikes out like I did with LGC1 83". One great thing about getting it at best Buy is that there price matching it through January 16th!!! So if it dips for black Friday, or any time during the holidays I'm good. I really respect that. I can't wait to get a AVR with 11channels with at least 140watts. These speakers need more power, my current Onkyo is just 80 watts and that's just one channel driven but still can shake the walls. Anyone have experience with OUTLAW AMPS? I'm currently locked on this very consumer priced 7ch amp that's 130 watts all channels driven but just 1000 bucks. This will be the first time I have ever amplified my floor channels, but eventually I'll have all 7 channels on the floor amped and just let the AVR handle the Atmos Celine 4 channels. This is all getting very exciting. I had a decent man cave in the house the fire took, and a nice home theater, but I thought that wouldn't even happen again. Three changes to my initial post: 1. SVS has a 5 year no question replacement warranty, not the 10 I first stated. Still best in the industry I've seen. 2. It's been over 3 years since the fucking fire Nov18th 2018}, not the 2 I first said. 3. I bought two Svs 1000pro subs not 2000pro like I said oops. There not very big but man do they boom as a tandem, I'm so so very impressed. At first we had the on the back of the room in the corners but they we way to boooomy. We then dialed them in a bit using YouTube and placed on in the front right and left the other in the back left and now you can't even tell where the Subs are in movies and music. That's what you want, can't tell exactly where they are but boy do you know they are there if that makes any sense.
  21. Cant second this enough, a quality hd bluray player makes all the difference I highly recommend this Panasonic though its pricey at 500bucks. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/panasonic-streaming-4k-ultra-hd-hi-res-audio-with-dolby-vision-7-1-channel-dvd-cd-3d-wi-fi-built-in-blu-ray-player-black/6278202.p?skuId=6278202&ref=212&loc=1&extStoreId=2517&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA-K2MBhC-ARIsAMtLKRv2a14_xY9sC4fsUwB7Y2eDfSVMK1yATEyNMo_c1immaayJgVWObtkaAkQAEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  22. We still have to get the furniture figured out too. Wife wants a huge c shaped sectional with a lounger at the far left side. Sub placement is really a key issue. Right now they sound perfect, but if I lose that one corner ill have to figure something else out. I LOVE THE SVS wireless kits, so versatile! These speakers are all in the sexy Gloss Black too, all 13 speakers. Amazing set and should last for 20 years I'd say at least. Truly a bucket list project as just 25 months ago we lost everything we owned in that damned camp fire, and then our son to brain cancer a few months later. Finding this house in a new state, a wonderful home is a blessing. Losing our jobs of 22 & 27 years forever too was just overwhelming. These forums mentally really helped up stay sane, at least me. I'm not at all that social. Not a Facebook, Instagram, anything. We have so long still to go but we are picking up the pieces faster every day.... Check out that one great pic of the 83" TVs dimensions in masking tape behind the 65" TV, it's going to massive and I can not wait!
