  1. STEAM DECK 2 Wasn't expecting this already although maybe I should've! Apparently the top tier model of the {OG 649.99} Steam Deck 1 is the most popular according to preorders. Looks like I may be further back in line than I though. Might be getting mine right as Pre-orders for the SD2 go up
  2. RE5 wasn't bad really if you look at is not a sequel. Only game I played in co-op once too and did have fun. Not great but was entertaining non-the-less. 6 though was a complete derailment from the series and as a game too. It was just horrible, I did not beat that game. Only one in the entire series that I didn't finish, a huge disappointment. They really bounced back with 7, that goodness!
  3. My daughter bought RE3 remake or I wouldn't have played it. Even being a HUGE RE fan I was good with the 3 or so times I played RE3 back in the day. I beat it, It's not any better or worse for it other than the visual upgrades. Only game in the series I do not own is 3 and 5 and 6, I actually don't own OG 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 or 7 because Of that damn Camp fire. I do own the remakes of 1 & 2, and I own the deluxe version of 7. Hurt losing your entire everything in one REALLY FUCKED UP DAY. Games were/are our least worries obviously, but still really hurt. I'm a digital game buyer from now on.
  4. I THOUGHT IT PLAYED MORE LIKE A SOULS GAME {Not difficulty wise!}. It was very good sure but it's just not the same type game, Obviously we've moved on for what was RE 1&2, and even 3 but to be that's what made them so tense. OG RE1 was very creepy, we had seen NOTHING like that in a game, at least I hadn't. Being a Horror fan/nut, the first 2 games we just my cup of tea!! I totally forgot RE: Zero. I did like that one too, it was also quite short like RE3 but still had the OG charm, but not story. RE2 and RE: Code veronica were the best stories followed up by 7. I played through 7 3 times, really, really loved it. It's not up there in my list like 2 is that's all. RE2 and the remake are my favorites, just an opinion. Also I may have gotten carried away buy my PSX gaming nostalgia. Not sure all those were on the first PS!
  5. MASSIVE Resident Evil fan here since DAY ONE! Playing it on the ps1, lights dimmed as far as they would go, just so many memories. Few games hold that kinda nostalgia feeling for really! Most of my most favorite ever cam out on the OG PSX, and the Super Nintendo! Final Fantasy 7, Destruction Derby, Gran Turismo, Tekken 3, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and Wipeout 20 {something?} all were just awesome! RE1 & 2 though are up there with actually RE2 being by favorite game of all-time. I loved the first, but 2 was just so polished, way bigger and true to it's predecessor a 10/10 Imho. Nostalgia wise RE 1&2 were Perfect games as they were, so when the remakes were announced I was horrified to tell the truth! After their releases I was blown away yet again! They really did make them pop and shine like they never did, and I loved them so much but for different reasons this time. They play very differently though, and there two totally different games meaning 1 & 1R should be reviewed as 2 separate & totally different games same with 2 & 2R. My opinion though, if it's not your that's fine too. RE3 Nemesis was just ok, it was shorted buy quite a lot and played totally differently than the first 2 did. Such a shame we haven't heard anything about RE: Code veronica right? Easily the 5th best "AGAIN!" my opinion if picking from what's been released. Resident Evil is My favorite franchise ever and I order them like this: (1) OG RE2, (2) RE2: Remake, (3) OG RE1 (4) RE: Code Veronica, (5) RE1: remake, (6) RE4, (7) RE7, (8) OG RE3 (9) RE3: Remake & (10) RE 6 Felt RE6 had to be on the list, but Resident Evil 6 was a shit show, and being A HUGE "self proclaimed Super RE FAN", I bought it day one and my god it was horrible, just so bad. What a turnaround they had with RE7 though. Resident Evil desperately needed a fresh start and REALLY came through. I'm SUPER excited to See/Read/Watch/Play where the RE franchise is headed . I feel that game is fantastic a 8/10
  6. Although first impressions of being in a que "AFTER" 2ndQ2022 sucked, I now feel it's a blessing. I still wish I had one on it's way but knowing mines coming somewhere between July-December "Obviously after 2ndQ means a very wide window" there's time to have 10,000-100,000's in the wild and giving us unfortunately time to see problems like this arise and many months to have valve's attention to fixing most of them. At least the wait has made me really dust off my Nintendo 3DS, Switch and PS Vita! Three consoles I already neglect all the time. PC gaming get's 80% of my gaming time though, so the Steam Deck seems like an awesome complement to my gaming schedule and I'm still very excited to own one, but just as excited to read/watch/learn about this pretty damn cool handheld gaming devise. Having Steam and Game pass on a handheld is just so damned cool. "like the PS5 I'll have one when I have one, it is what it is......lol Oh side note: At least I do have a time frame and a confirmed reservation for a Steam Deck, I'm not entirely sure the PS5 really exists! I've never seen one in person, only on Youtube. We all know how much of that is fake
  7. At this rate I'll be getting my GeForce 4080Ti, PS5 and my Steam deck the same day....lol
  8. Ok then, I bought both day one loved Titan Fall 2 and liked HZD. I did finish both so that says something, well Titanfall "Story wasn't much just a long tutorial if I remember right" It had brought some really new concepts to the first person shooter and I would LOVE a TF3. HZD 2 will be a $20 or below game way way down the road. I'm not really interested and I don't own a PS5. I want one yea, but never shop for one. I'm good with sitting this console out as crazy as that is to me and my past gaming history of buying them all day one. The shortage has kind'a dulled my excitement in it and I'll just get one when I see in in stock either online or in Best Buy / Walmart someday. Then I'll have plenty to bury myself in . . lol
  9. Don't really know what you mean by that. I LOVED Titan Fall 2, it was so great. I'm sure those that Liked the first Horizon game will gush all over this one too. Frankly I'm good that I don't feel like I have to own this game too! If I had a PS5 though I's be buying Demon Souls, Ratchet and Clank and Returnal the day I got it. Those and God of War. Enjoy guys...
  10. I wish I had gotten Disco Elysium on PC, this games needs a mouse dangit!
  11. If you like Diablo type games, I'm loving Grim Dawn. I went in not reading any builds guides or stuff like that and it's a tough learning curve in the late game and you can reach the later parts of it and find your build just simply does not work. I didn't mind that. I started over 2x already. Once at around 10 hours and once around 25 hours. I love learning how and what the mechanics works and it's quite fantastic I think. I own Path of Exile {LOL It's free} too and that game is simply overwhelming for me. I'm a 80% PC and 20% Console gamer. Bought Elden Ring on Series X, Grim Dawn and Diablo 2 Resurrected on PC. Also Pillars and Tyranny both PC and Borderlands 3 too. It's going to be awhile before I get to D2R or Elden Ring. I also Started my first games in GD "normal" but Veteran mode. when you start normal story you have the option to check the veteran box for a slight difficulty curve but better loot and faster leveling. I own the 2 expansions to but am holding off starting the Forgotten one until I clear the entire quest log Even at lvl 63 I have over 20 right now, 8 are bounties that are optional. If you turn one in, you can immediately start another and I always do. Seeing's how how there are at least 5-6 different places to get bounties my list never seems to go anywhere...lol Enjoy GD man!
  12. After doing very well compared to my usual spending freely on any and all games without any kind of control on the amount, I started this last 18 months or so to really only buy very select games for the most part. The last week though I really fell off the wagon . . . lol! I've been playing Grim Dawn and really enjoying it. After finding that I owned it already! I've put over 40 hours into it in two week by far the most hours in a game the last 2 years in that time frame. I'm still playing GD but I caved and bought Diablo 2: Resurrected, Borderlands 3 {11.99 on steam sale}, Elden Ring, Pillars of Eternity, Satisfactory, Tranny, Disco Elysium and Mario Kart 8 {replacing the copy I lost in the fire}. That's far to many games to add to a HUGE backlog already. I really need show some restraint...lol This when I'm really wanting Dying Light II, and a few others on Switch. So...To answer the Op's question. I'm playing Grim Dawn
  13. Really really trying very hard to not buy this game until much later this year! It's hard as I LOVED DL1. Jealous, I really am!!
  14. Absolutely one of the BIGGEST games to come out so far this "Next Gen" and finally for the first time I'm not interested. I know I'm in the minority here obviously but still This game doesn't invoke that pull that games of this magnitude do. This comes from me really not liking the first game. Yes I said it, really it came to the weapons. In the end you really only used like 3, in all fights. When the fights became intense there was no time for the varied arsenals afforded to you. This was frustrating. Only if you had time to really plan an attack were more weapons useful. I'm sure this has been addressed in this game somewhat, I do not know and the fact that I do not own a PS5 yet I'm easily waiting on this game, though it's a powerhouse of a visual feast that's not what makes games good to me for the most past. I really really hope you guys enjoy it, another AAA for us the games to have access to is never a bad thing. That said, Elden Ring is waiting for me, going to start it this next Tuesday!
  15. Well shit! I have Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein II: TNC and Youngblood expansion DLC, Rage 2, and the Evil Within 2 on there . . .
  16. I wasn't bitching in any way, Just saying That's how I played them, knowing that gaining lvls helped me to move forward and get to see more of these games. "Over leveled" in my book was my strategy my way of playing that's all....
  17. "THAT STUPID APE" That's where I stopped playing too, sucks because that's the first boss battle If I remember.......lol
  18. I love my Charcoal Grey 3DSXL and still play it several times a week. I do not have many games for it as I lost my Cartridge collection in the fire, but I do own a few AAA titles and a lot of older games as well. Only 2 cartridges I own are Fire Emblem Something and pilot wings. It's still amazes me the technology in these little handhelds too. The 3d works really really well, the newer XL screen is so much nicer though heavy too, and it takes 3d pictures too! What a great little gaming box.
  19. Yea I suspect your right! Hell I mean I remember the grinding to fully over level FF7 characters to beat Emerald and Ruby...lol. it was just what you had to do. Ruby {The red dragon in the sand immediately removed on of your Characters right at the first start of the fight by sinking them in the sand, and it was random on who would go} tough fight man, Ruby had 500,000 hit points. But then there was Emerald that blue floating / swimming / underwater Monster with just the 1,000,000 hit points! This was my first experience in a game where you would just rerun certain places to get better stuff over and over and over to get youo health and stats up, etc.
  20. "I've played most of them but never finished any of them on my own" does say a lot. The games are difficult, I have played them all and find them really difficult for me, so I'm someone who over levels to accomplish what "DS" players beat in a timely fashion no problem. I beat Demon Souls on the PS3 and had a good time and didn't have to over lvl to beat it, though I did die ALOT. I have never played with anyone else except those FU%$#RS that invade and just hunt you down and kill you, god I hated that. I beat DS1 on Switch of all things...lol DS2 and 3 I was close and never finished, Bloodborne also nearly finished but had to over lvl again to make the game more fun. Sekiro I just struggled and never finished sadly also and really was disappointed too. These games really are very fun to explore and find what's just around the next corner, sucks that what is there though is just going to kill you {or me I mean, I'm not judging anyone here} I wanted to love these games so much but they really are too hard for me but I'm a sucker for Hype and a challenge knowing my gaming reflexes have diminished to a very subpar level at my advanced age...lol So I obviously own them all, mostly on Steam but had DS on PS3 and DS1 on Switch and Steam! That said I have Elden Ring Pre-ordered too digital version from BestBuy for the Series X and it should be fun. I highly doubt I'll sit down and play it through to the end without taking a few breaks here and there but again I am excited to have a go and see what's around those huge open world "Corners" again this time around too. Oh and I'm really wanting a PS5 for a few games but to have a go at Demon Souls again, the one that started it all and that I did beat even at sub 15FPS in Blight Town {I'll never ever forget that gaming experience of difficulty and shitty performance, I was a much younger man then too and used to finish my gamed at a better pace!} Lastly: I have also Own Nioh 1 and really tried but didn't finish that either, but didn't buy the sequel. I was liking the game but just was overwhelmed at the later parts. Also Remnant: From the ashes. Another pretty difficulty game though can be played and is multi player if you want, I found it very difficult so another non finish there too! lastly though Immortal Shell came around too and I loved that one a lot. I played it pretty much strait through {Meaning focusing on it and not stopping to play others in between. It kept me interested along with the difficulty, I do believe it was far less difficult too though, I beat it but again was quite a bit over lvl'd too to get the game finished but I did finish it that's always a good feeling!}
  21. I ALSO PRE-Ordered Elden Ring for the Series X to play on the 83" C1 using the some of the over 400 dollars worth of Best Buy certificates I have from the Tv and Xbox and 1Tb external HD I bought. Some expire in may so better get on that ball!
  22. THANKS!, I have little time for a game as short as D2R {as I remember it} to just do the same thing over and over again to maybe find something cool. I eat/dreamed/slept D2 back in the day but I just would be a very casual player, only single player too. Fun fact, I was surfing D2R shit and ran across Grim Dawn and thought, I always wanted to try that game! Went to steam to maybe buy it, and Holy Shit I own it already with 6 hours played...lol, that and Path of Exile. I do love hack n slash games I can not lie but I think i'm gonna just jump into GD and see what that's about! I will buy D2R down the road but I'm gonna hold off! I do want it on the Steam deck but it's not on Steam Dang.... I ALSO PRE-Ordered Elden Ring for the Series X to play on the 83" C1 using the some of the over 400 dollars worth of Best Buy certificates I have from the Tv and Xbox and 1Tb external HD I bought. Some expire in may so better get on that ball!
