The Xbox One X has parity with the base model due to an agreement that the games must run the same on even enhanced machines due to perceived unfairness in multiplayer. Ah! See, that's part of my guillotine reaction. Like just recently, I heard great things about Dead Cells and Overcooked! 2. I thought Sonic Mania Plus added a lot to the already great base game. I bought Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter World as well as God of War. I've read people's positive reactions on other boards to MLB The Show, Yakuza 6, Celeste, OwlBoy, Far Cry 5 and Detroit Become Human. That's a lot of stuff that I haven't even gotten to that's already out, and I got Spidey in a month, and then I still wonder if I should continue tackling games from 2017 and 2016 that I've passed. I'm scared, man.

Just this year, I revisited Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario World and Super Punch-Out!! I think I've revisited Bloodborne every year so far. Almost every year for The Last of Us. The thing with many single-player games is some of them have a world I just really want to return to. I loved traversing Horizon's world. I loved exploring God of War's world and watching that serpent from afar. I love exploring the abandoned city blocks and neighborhoods in Last of Us. And if it ends up being a lot of fun, I can see myself returning to Spider-Man New York. It's just a lot of fun to do. Exceptions would be a game like The Last Guardian, which was my GOTY in 2016 despite some of its technical issues, but was such an emotional roller coaster that I have not yet replayed it.

Seriously, wtf? It seems boring as hell to play a game, and review it by slightly altering someone else's review. ZZzzZzzZZzzz

Is Jan just breaking down throughout this series so far (don't need to know if she has a complete breakdown later)? Earlier in the series, she seemed more a professional foil for the immature Michael, and even recently, her talk with him by that train was a more level-headed assessment of his situation. But man, did she ever seem paranoid and out of sorts in Dinner Party.

I'm tempted to do a thread about how often people replay games, now. I replay games that I really love and typically aren't emotionally draining, but some people feel once is enough for anything singleplayer.

I mean, they can be vicious sometimes -- sometimes they spoil things for better teams like LSU -- but they're never "it" in the SEC West. And they've had two really bad losing seasons this decade and recently got a new coach.
