  1. It's not like she didn't enter the White House looking to cash in on being the first lady. Also, let's not make her out to be some poor woman being unknowingly dragged along this crazy Trump ride. It completely denies her of any agency here. She's very much a willing participant in this whole charade.
  2. Are we assuming she'll take over the Black Widow role? It already happened in the comics. We've also already seen Captain replaced, so with Black Widow we'll just need a new Iron Man and I believe there's been some talk of an Iron Heart series for Disney+.
  3. Well, then maybe this is true... This should go in the hero cop thread. If this is what happened, I'm going to rank this right there with the cop that demanded an investigation on McDonald's because he forgot he took a bite out of his burger.
  4. Do we even know how Mandalorians perceive debts? Mando is certainly in debt to the child and helping the villagers in exchange for raising and keeping the child safe seems like it could be seen as a fair trade.
  5. Trump definitely had a heart attack if he's making up stories like this and complaining about them unprompted. I'm going to some that by media, he meant doctors.
  6. Here's my problem. Claiming PoC don't do well in schools because of a lack of better role models is no different than the old broken homes story. I'm not sure I'd spin that into calling Mayor Pete a liar, but it's not like this is some secret perception rich white folks have of poor minorities.
  7. Hey, I am the hypothetical person that twisted my life around no college. I even dropped out after a year and a half because I couldn't afford it and needed to get a second job to help my parents make ends meet. I would LOVE to see student debt canceled here. Unlike a mortgage or car debt, this is a huge amount of debt teenagers were convinced to take on. I'm not some selfish asshole that would be bitter that I lost on some opportunity that others will now have. Hell, I have three kids under 4 and college savings accounts I've already created for each of them that I've thrown money in. If you told me that all that money saved is wasted in a 529, I still wouldn't care. As for canceling mortgage debt, I would have been fine with that when the banks were bailed out back in 2008.
  8. I was actually not sure until I just checked, but it looks like they are. They just changed the color scheme of the fighting and rock gyms along with the Pokemon types.
  9. I will say the're a major difference between being convinced buying a house is a great investment when you're an adult and being told college is a great investment when you're barely able to vote.
  10. At which point Joker would be in his 60s or 70s.
  11. That's the thing, though. If it got a few nominations I doubt anybody would care. However, it may as well be the greatest game ever made, considering it was nominated in every category it was eligible for.
  12. Every generation people complain about Pokemon designs not being original enough and that's just something can't be said from a franchise that started with Voltorb. Also, Falinks is an amazing Pokemon. Also also, can we talk about how horrifically hilarious the fossil Pokemon abominations are in this game?
  13. This was my same reaction when I saw this in the living while black thread. Just...what? Why? What?
  14. If you still have a Mew with it, you can transfer it to Sword and Shield instead of Let's Go.
  15. If you don't have a pro controller, I'd go for that one. That'll let you get into some three player local gaming or afford two people full controllers for some couch co-op. I do have multiple joy cons, but that was mostly for stuff like 4 player Mario Party. Another alternative, if you want an extra controller for multiplayer gaming is to pick up one of 8BitDo's gamepads. They're great, feel good, and work perfectly on the Switch. You don't get motion controls or rumble, but they work great for games like Smash Bros.
  16. @TwinIon @Jose Vizio is claiming the update for their TVs will hit early next month. I'm willing to bet someone realized this bit of news would suck come Black Friday.
  17. While true, the phrase "a standard liability waiver based on the waiver" is very much not accidental wording.
  18. It looks like the NFL wanted to get Kap to sign some waiver that would have screwed him over and that was the only reason for this whole workout...
  19. That's the only reason Stadia even makes sense for Google. I imagine Google would love to jump in bed with, say Adobe and offer a new Photoshop subcription tier where your Photoshop experience on a Chromecast would be no different than if you had a Xeon with gobs of RAM. Team up with Autodesk and it opens the doors for who has access to the tools they need to create anything and with all that data already being in Google's cloud, it would be a simple mouse click to send it all over to a vast render farm with no need to transfer anything.
  20. Those are monthly subscriptions for software you still have to run locally. You don't want to do 3D modeling on a remote desktop instance unless you like pissing off your artists and engineers. Most of that work is still done on high end workstations from Apple or the like. The entire Quadro line of graphics cards exists for this space. Even then, it's still a large upfront investment. I'm more thinking about a world where smaller studios can subscribe to some cloud-based tool like this one for literally no upfront cost since all the software you need would run just as well on anything with a functional browser or even just a dongle plugged into you monitor. We're still a long way from there, but I have to imagine this is where Google is thinking of Stadia going.
  21. I don't even know if games is what Google is really thinking about. If they can get gaming down right there's a LOT they can do with a server farm that can handle top notch IQ and low latency 3D rendering. I'm just imaging a world where 3D rendering tools like Maya and Blender become services you can run in a browser with no CPU or GPU hit to your local computer. If tools like that end up working there is, literally, nothing you couldn't do on a low power3d Chromebook that you currently can only do on a high end workstation.
