  1. There is no such this as a moderate in 2020. You're talking about some mythical person that would totally vote for Biden over Trump but is also totally ok with Trump being president. The only people that fit that criteria are billionaires and there aren't enough of them to matter. Anyone else just doesn't pay attention to who they're voting for or what's going on in the world to a dangerous degree.
  2. The GOP would attack anybody, but the one most open to Republican attacks is Biden. This isn't even up for debate.
  3. They broke this kids hand, bruised him up, and tried to arrest him because he started throwing up when they tried ordering him around? All while his mother was screaming to leave him be and he needed medical attention? Those cops should be fired. It's a shame they won't be, it'll be called a learning experience, and the family's lawsuit will be funded by taxpayers.
  4. It's fine for people that don't follow football to not know which Kansas City we're talking about here. However, I find it endlessly hilarious that a bunch of Trump supports, including other politicians, went to bat defending him here only for him to delete the tweet and correct himself.
  5. Even with that being the case, is Platinum big enough to every-platform all of their games? At their size, it should probably make everyone working there happier to remain a boutique developer that can pick and choose projects and platforms.
  6. Seems Nintendo is happy funding them for their own game, but it sounds like Platinum was interested in remaining multiplatform. Otherwise, they would have been up Microsoft's offer.
  7. That sounds familiar. I worked for a company that was acquired. Prior to the acquisition, folks generally only came into the office 4 days a week and telecommuted the fifth day or came in all five days and went half day on Fridays. It was up to employees and their managers to choose whatever it is they wanted to do. New company came in, bought us, and said no more of that. Reason? Because their other offices don't have that option. Hell, I had to travel to another office for maintenance window to work on servers in my office, remotely...because that's where everyone else is during maintenance.
  8. It's like someone said "Kids these days and their ADD" and designed an entire website around that single idea.
  9. The real millennial thing to do is drop vowels, bunch of amateurs. That's amazing.
  10. This is one of those times where a piece of info lives without context in the back of your subconscious. Israel in complete control of the Palestinian state and its military would never allow any of those Palestinians to migrate into Israel proper. There's a reason Jordan came out against this. It would lead to more refugees as this Palestine would be little more than a penal colony.
  11. Please be not serious. No deal is better than this "deal". This isn't even a deal. This is everything Israel wanted short of shipping every Palestinian to Madagascar.
  12. Didn't we already just have a movie with Thing like three months ago?
  13. This is really difficult. I had to go through lists of movies on Rotten Tomatoes because some movies that I thought would make the cut were over the 50% threshold. Here we go... I didn't realize that Keanu Reeve's Constantine was a 46%. Equilibrium was a 40%? Eh, I still enjoyed it. Godzilla: King of Monsters wasn't a great film, but it's still way more enjoyable than any other kaiju movies in the last few years? What? There were no other big kaiju films? Blah, it still deserves better than a 42%. Also, random. Not really a movie I genuinely like, but it deserves mention. My kids like a lot of really not great TV and equally not great movies. Still, Smurfs: The Lost Village is better than the 40% would indicate.
  14. So Palestine gets to be a semi-autonomous territory if they change their borders to cede land to Israel and restructure their government to Israel's liking? And the whole semi-autonomous territory is only a maybe three years down the line, assuming that Israel approves of all their government changes. If they don't, too bad, Israel gets to keep the land regardless? Am I missing something here? Otherwise, damn me, what a deal.
  15. Multiple, and that includes family. My take here is that everyone deserves the benefit if the doubt on both ends. Going after the victim here was scummy on Kobe's part, but I don't even know how much of that is on Kobe and his much if that is on his lawyers. He was what? In his mid twenties at the time with plenty of money and very expensive attorneys. He never had any other actuations levied against him, so both parties could very well be telling the truth from their own perspectives. We'll never know, but I think leaving this sordid tale as a part of his story is fair. That's what The Root did in their coverage. I wouldn't, however, start any story about him with the rape actuations. That just puts far too much weight on this. It's very different from Cosby, who took things to an entirely evil level. The only thing they have in common is that they're famous and black. There's an order of magnitude here that I think does a disservice to his crimes and what Cosby really did to his legacy and why he doesn't deserve any real redemption.
  16. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Cosby was a serial rapist with dozens of victims. That is absolutely his legacy. A better comparison would be Ben Roethlisberger, even if Ben here has multiple credible allegations against him.
  17. Dammit. There were three teens on that helicopter with their parents?
  18. I hate that we live in a world where second guessing this kind of he's is normal. Still. That was not something I had expected to read. Also, just hours after he congratulated LeBron on passing him.
  19. Fox is all in for Republicans. I'm fairly certain they'd jump on board if the GOP did as well. The bigger issue is that an impeached and removed from office president would get all the press in the world. The press can't help themselves and ask Hillary her opinion on everything going on. Journalism in this nation is what's keeping the GOP from dumping Trump. Everything he says would get coverage. Every comment, tweet, and tirade. They can't help themselves. Every interview would be ratings gold because Americans don't know enough to look away and the press certainly isn't capable of the same.
  20. Let's just talk about how the the system the Astros used was more primitive than that of the 1900 Phillies. https://www.inquirer.com/phillies/phillies-baseball-steal-signs-houston-astros-20200124.html
  21. Let's keep this ball rolling. https://www.wsj.com/articles/prosecutors-have-evidence-bezos-girlfriend-gave-texts-to-brother-who-leaked-to-national-enquirer-11579908912 So, allegedly, sure the Saudi prince hacked Bezos' phone and grabbed tons of texts and photos and whatever from it. However, also, maybe, his girlfriend also shared all those texts and photos with her brother who then sold them to AMI.
