It's a commentary on capitalist consumerism. Your character is always yearning for more. It's never even enough; even if it means digging up weeds too earn some frequent flyer miles you use to fly to a tropical island you visit to do more yard work for additional frequent flier miles. Meanwhile you're in debt to a sleepless raccoon who should be the wealthiest on the island, but doesn't look it an certainly isn't happy about his lot in life. All the while, neither you, Nook, or any of his accursed spawn will ever be as happy as the gorilla in a luchador mask sitting on the beach, watching the waves.

Nintendo Surprise, it's a new Nintendo Direct...

I want expecting the free Ring Fit Adventure DLC. The rhythm game looked great. The Panzer Dragoon Remake dropping today is a surprise, as is the demo for Bravely Default 2. I like that they're going the Octopath Traveler route and are willing to take some player feedback into account. -

Looks like the next Smash Bros fighter will be from Arms. No details on who, but I'm just going to assume Spring Man and Ribbon Girl. -

We're doing no better than those other countries as far as sweeping issues at nursing homes under the rug. I think I posted this here earlier, but I'll link to the story, just in case. There are more than 140 nursing homes that may end up being epicenters for COVID-19 outbreaks, but nobody is willing to say which nursing homes they might be. Honestly, if I had family in a nursing home, I'd probably be looking to do whatever I can pull them out immediately.

Save scumming is why the game doesn't allow for cloud save backups. The game is actually constantly saving unlike previous titles that only saved when you shut off the game. That's where Resetti came in. You can't save scum, but you can date scum. Presumably, that should mess with your ability to play online, but I haven't read much about it.

As far as I'm aware, it's a complete design choice. They literally just like the idea of someone building a bridge or planting some flowers and then having another player pop up later and being surprised by the new bridge or watering the flowers planted by the other player. Nintendo very much views Animal Crossing's towns as a living world and the player has no right messing with the passage of time. That's why their tight control on saves is so draconian.

It depends on what you're ordering. Some shampoo and conditioner for my girls, deodorant and soap more myself, and a pack of nori sheets all got to me in the standard Prime two days. I think they've marked off food and sanitary items as essential and shipping those out quickly. Then again, some new bath toys also made it here in two days. Keeping kids entertained when they can't leave the house can be tricky.

Exactly my point. We know some of the workers are infected, but we have no idea if a virus that can survive more than two days out in the wild is surviving the overnight delivery to customers. Instead, we have sick people that got infected from...somewhere. Many of whom might actually be doing a good job practicing social distancing. If only. My wife is an essential worker (mental health care therapist) for a company (mental health care provider) that is deemed essential and she's not getting tested. I'm an essential employee (IT manager) working for an essential employer (government contractor) and I'm not getting tested. The craziness around testing is absurd.

That's the reality pretty much everywhere in the States. Unless you're rich and connected, you aren't getting tested unless your life is on the line. If anyone watches the YouTube channel Binging with Babish, the host of that channel along with his fiancee are in the same boat. As I mentioned previously, my wife is also in the same boat and because of her I'm not allowed in my office in the event that I'm needed. Like, for instance, the very real fact that one of our servers has bad RAM that needs to be replaced but I can't go in to do that.

Yeah, but it's an easy win for him. If things work out in spite of everything he does, hell get credit for leading the country through this historic event. He'll be Giuliani all over again. If it blows up in his face, it's not his fault, the world hasn't seen something this horrific in over a hundred years. The only reason most presidents wouldn't play this game is because the pieces are lives of Americans. Trump, however, could not care less and there is nobody in the media with a large enough audience to call him out on it. Maybe some comedians, but they're comedians do nobody cares.

Trump is likely getting credit for everything local and state officials have some in their respective districts. Also, Americans are REALLY bad at understanding risk. Since they don't know anyone that has died them her must be doing something right since that's a good thing. Most people really don't understand how things are getting worse because fold in this country don't understand statistics. It really is a subject that should be taught to kids in middle and high school.
