General Gaming What is your 'Oh yeah, I played that!' game?

Now there's a quickly forgotten game. I played that one and its sequel. I remember there were cards and that's about it. -

Let's go with...Shadow Hearts on the PS2. It was a game, an RPG with a spinning disk thing. That's about all I got. I remember it being fine. Enough that I beat it, for whatever that means. -
Correct. The supply chain still isn't fully up to to speed, there was a rush to buy more consoles with Animal Crossing, and folks started looking to gaming for these self isolating days. I know my wife has been watching sites everyday looking for a Switch Lite. She was fine sharing my console, but now she wants her own since Animal Crossing came out.

I just grabbed the most recent numbers I could find when I Googled "best selling games of 2020" and clicked on the first link. I'm not cherry picking anything. That would be way more work than anyone should care to do. Yeah, Call of Duty is super popular in the States. It's just crazy to me that anyone could argue that dual sticks are the only games anyone plays when the PS4 has Spider-Man, God of War, Persona, The FF7 remake, and so many more. These aren't games nobody plays.

Eh...Here are the best selling games for the most recent month available... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare NBA 2K20 Grand Theft Auto 5 Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Tom Clancy's The Division 2 Mario Kart 8* Ring Fit Adventure Madden NFL 20 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate* Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Minecraft# Luigi's Mansion 3* Red Dead Redemption 2 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild* Pokemon Sword* Just Dance 2020 FIFA 20 Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Need for Speed: Heat New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe The highlighted games are games that map primary actions to the face buttons and use the analog stick for basic camera controls. Just Dance and Ring Fit probably shouldn't count here, but that's still the majority of the best selling games this year. Don't take away my right analog stick. Nobody is arguing that. Just, there's a reason why Microsoft's controller became the standard here.

Let's think of some games that came out this year that would fit... Animal Crossing New Horizons Persona 5 Royal Yakuza 0 Final Fantasy VII Remake Nioh 2 MLB The Show 20 DBZ Kakarot Yes. Mostly just 2D indie games. It's not like last year we got some great games like Sekiro, Control, Mortal Kombat 11, Devil May Cry 5, Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Kingdom Hearts 3, or any sports or racing or fighting game.

They use Facebook Analytics. I don't like Facebook. I don't even have an account...though I do have an Instagram and use WhatsApp, so I'm not outside of their ecosystem. Either way, they use Facebook to handle their number crunching. Unless Facebook is open to an incredibly large, upcoming lawsuit, the data in Facebook Analytics is not privy to hacked Facebook accounts or malicious apps like those by Cambridge Analytica.

Yeah, it's fine. The regular rules of the Internet apply. Don't click on links unless you know for sure where you're going. Don't join Zoom meetings with folks you don't know. The biggest issue is that people are getting good at guessing Zoom meeting IDs, so if any of those Zoom meetings aren't password protected you do pose the chance of having some rando jump into your meeting and spamming the chat with malicious links or airing porn if there's video.
