General Gaming Mitch Dyer: IGN Bosses Are A NIghtmare
Ghost_MH replied to SimpleG's topic in The Spawn Point
I totally lost a job offer a manager of mine that was pissed off over how much I could brush off any attempts at bullying. I probably should have just quit, but I was young and it was also my first real, full time job. As for the IGN bullshit, how much if this was completely unknown? I thought everyone gates Tal. That said, you'd tidbit is amazingly reckless. -

Wait, so he was plain clothes and buying from one of those Starbucks inside a Target? Why would the cashier at a Target Starbucks ever even see this guy's credit card? Like, if it was a drive-thru Starbucks, sure. One of those mini ones inside a Target store? This story is ridiculous. I bet he also forgot to save the entire thing to hold as evidence. -
Nintendo Smash gets its first Arms Character

As is Min Min, but that's a tier list on which are the best fighters, not which is the most popular. https://www.dualshockers.com/arms-creators-weigh-in-on-twintelles-popularity/ Min Min is the best choice in a vacuum, especially in terms of popularity and how much she's used in tournaments. Twintelle just makes more sense in terms of popularity and Nintendo's striking lack of representation among their human characters, especially in Smash Bros. Twintelle was a perfect opportunity for them since she'd check that box while also being incredibly popular among fans. -

Min Min and Twintelle are the most popular Arms characters last time I looked at it. I'm not surprised they choose Min Min since she's incredibly popular. It's just unfortunate they didn't choose Twintelle. -
It's a lot of reading and menu navigation. There's not a HUGE account to do without some real planning on the part of the player. If your kids is into the building aspect of things, probably will have fun. If not, I'm not sure. If he's up for making some virtual friends, then it might be a good shot. My son has been playing console games since he was 3 and is almost 5 right now. He loves watching me play Animal Crossing, but he'd rather play Kirby's Dreamland, River City Ransom, and Yoshi's Island. He also can't read, so milage there varies, and is probably a huge factor here.

I had forgotten how much reviewers wanted to deem some random game the he Citizen Kane of gaming. Anybody trying to make that comparison really has no idea what they're talking about or why Citizen Kane was so influential. Games have already had their Citizen Kane moment and that happened back in 1985. I do appreciate how much he desperately can't keep a straight face when talking about how much these AAA games are pushed as high art.

I was really hoping for Twintelle or Misango since Nintendo is really lacking in the diversity department amongst their human characters. This was a cute reveal, though. -

Very cool. Let's not defund the police. Let's give them more money if they agree to sit in a class and learn not to kill unarmed minorities. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/06/21/metro/amid-defunding-debate-baker-calls-something-different-training-bonuses-police/?outputType=amp
