  1. Yeah, I think the polls are absolutely correct here. They were in 2016 and polls and methods for collecting and analyzing data have only improved since then. In this scenario, the woman is literally spending the entire the date telling the sitcom character every reason why he's failing. I'm doing nothing more than literally taking Trump and the rest of the Republican party at their word. If Biden wins and Republicans get cold feet, then cool. I'd be absolutely elated. Until then, I have no reason to hear them say one thing and then brush it off as "no way they'd be crazy enough to do that". What about this murder hornet, plague infested, riotting year would leave me to think Republicans are bluffing here? Why should anyone be so charitable?
  2. It's not pessimism. I was having this conversation with some family last week after the debates. They were shocked that Trump is racist. I was confused, because, like how could anyone in the year of our Lord 2020 be shocked? They had assumed that people calling Trump racist were just haters just making up some improbable reason as to why Trump is so bad. It's like those folks that don't believe Trump is actually fighting to remove coverage for pre-existing conditions. It's so terrible that people don't think it's true even though it's actually happening right before our eyes. In this case, Republicans are literally talking about choosing their own electors if the election isn't decided in a "swift and accurate" manner and we already know nothing about the election this year will be swift and that Trump and every one of his cronies are ALREADY declaring the election inaccurate and rife with fraud. I'm just taking what these guys say at face value and setting my expectations there.
  3. I certainly think they'll try it regardless of the theoretical margin by which Biden wins. The issue then comes with how quickly Democrats act and how well the media covers it. I laughed as I wrote that, by the way.
  4. Everyone should vote. It's not just the White House at stake here. People have Congress seats to fill and ballot questions to answer. If a Trump were to steal the election, it would need a blue House and Senate to impeach. In Massachusetts we have a right to repair and ranked voting referendums to vote on. All very important. Still don't believe for a second that Trump goes away into the night were he to lose, even in a landslide.
  5. What If Trump Refuses to Concede? - The Atlantic WWW.THEATLANTIC.COM If the vote is close, Donald Trump could easily throw the election into chaos and subvert the result. Who will stop him? Nothing is 100%, but if you don't think the White House has this plan already put together you're blind. Democrats should also be planning what to do if this were to happen, but we already know they're blind. Thanks to Gore v Bush, it wouldn't even take overruling a previously established precedent. They'd only need to reaffirm the previous ruling that state legislatures can take these actions if the election results are in question and they're already questioning the election results. Someone has to explain why I'm wrong here, because I don't see it.
  6. Republicans across the country are already PUBLICLY talking about propping up their own electors to vote for Trump because mail in voting has shattered people's faith in the voting process.
  7. States that Republicans control will just baselessly claim that the election results were fraudulent, appoint their own electors, and vote Trump in. That's when SCOTUS will rule that is a perfectly legal thing to do. Most of those battleground states that say Biden is ahead in polls for are under Republican control between now and December 14, so who's going to stop them?
  8. Aside from that looking like a really bad composite, do I detect an edit right before he says coronavirus like 11 seconds in? @skillzdadirecta
  9. Reminds me of the last time I was hospitalized for pneumonia and asthma. Them steroids are so good.
  10. Was. Now that Trump is saying he's fine and COVID was nothing to fear, old people will feel much better about getting out there and socializing.
  11. Yeah, this story sucks. Who is Jonathan Price? WWW.WFAA.COM Relatives say Jonathan Price was shot and killed by a Wolfe City police officer. The Texas Rangers are investigating the police shooting. Stops to break up a fight between a man and a woman and ends up being the only one dead.
  12. Gamers are whiny and entitled asshats. Steve is a great choice because Smash could always use more oddball characters. I don't even understand the desire to see a character like Geno in this game. He was a side character that's only ever been in a single game released 25 years ago. A Mii Fighter skin is perfect for him. He doesn't need more representation than that. There are so many more deserving characters before we get into those silly fan favorites like Geno. Doom guy, Rayman, Guybrush Threepwood, the alien from Sim City, a Sim, a Tetris block, the prince from Prince of Persia but the old rotoscoped one from 1989. Steve is a good choice.
  13. It didn't even have to be a proof of life. Trump could be doing perfectly fine, but he's never show up on camera if his hair wasn't perfect roadkill.
  14. So the question is, is Trump so sick he can't even tweet or was his phone taken from him for fear he'd reveal more than anyone in the White House wants him to?
  15. I wouldn't read to much into that. Trump is a wimp and I could totally see him demanding to use some experimental drug he heard about on TV because he's terrified.
  16. And I wanted actual Bomberman, not a skin.
  17. Also some new Mii costumes. Creeper, pig, and diamond armor from Minecraft, Gil from Tower of Druaga, Bomberman, and Travis From No More Heroes.
  18. What's worse is that if Biden is ahead, she should be grabbing on since a lot of people won't split their vote. This is just dumb.
  19. Like I said, it would be great if the countries producing it could be reigned in. Like I get it, right. The US and China got to where they are through slave labor and wanton pollution/destruction. However we're at a point in history where we can maybe reflect on that and help other nations skip that step toward modernization.
  20. Not possible. Unfortunately, palm oil is easily the most sustainable oil on the planet. These countries need to be put on stiff sanctions with international supervision of their farms.
  21. Maybe, but that only works for those few if Trump or Melania dies. Trump survives and he'll be bragging about how it was no big deal and that doctors were being overly paranoid.
  22. Nothing can destroy his credibility when a large portion of this country believes his credibility comes from God. If he survives this, even if it takes incredible lock with the latest experimental procedures, it'll just be more proof that he's infallible. The non-religious ones will refuse to believe they've been fooled.
  23. Cool. People at the debate are getting sick now... http://www.politico.com//favicon-16x16.png Cleveland reports 11 new Covid cases stemming from debate - POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.COM The new cases in Cleveland were linked to the debate's setup and planning, and largely involved out-of-state residents.
