  1. At this point even I'd say it's a pretty safe bet to at least feel hopeful.
  2. It's hard to gauge how much people on the island want be m to become a state when they've spent the last presidency being treated like they aren't wanted. Even then, a 52% win is a larger margin than some of Biden's wins, so the percentage doesn't really matter as long as it passed. The island has been hemorrhaging people since Hurricane Maria and Trump's abysmal reaction to it. The last time a vote over this was held while Trump wasn't president 54% wanted a change and 61% cost that if a change were to happen, they'd prefer statehood. The status quo folks are afraid that taxes are going to be raised once they become a state. I can get behind DC not being a state as long as the federal land gets carved out to make the rest of the city where people actually live and work a new state.
  3. Slay the Spire will be turned into a board game, Kickstarter coming this spring WWW.POLYGON.COM Single-player game will become a ‘cooperative deckbuilding adventure’ for up to four players Coming to Kickstarter soon. Yes, I think I will back this one.
  4. See, that sounds like multiverse madness similar to all the Spider-Men in the8 next movie. Way less interesting.
  5. He totally should have said he was looking forward to eating some babies tonight.
  6. Possibly, but I think @stepee is right here. Japanese business culture seems to be at play here. IS, Camelot, HAL, and to lesser extend Sora and Good-Feel are major Nintendo second party devs that pretty much hold the keys to some of their biggest franchises. They've all have a decade plus history with Nintendo. I think Monolith Soft might be the only Japanese dev they've actually outright bought. Am I missing anyone? I might be. Nintendo doesn't really buy up talent very often. It just seems that when they do, it's normally not a Japanese house.
  7. That's my point. For Japanese devs, Nintendo seems ok with keeping that second party status for seemingly ever. If Nintendo hasn't bought IS or HAL after all these years, they never will. Same goes for Creature, but everything related to Pokemon is weird, so I try not to think about it too much. At least Camelot had worked with other companies in the past, even if that was like 20-30 years ago. I don't think Intelligent Systems has ever not worked tightly with Nintendo on anything.
  8. Nintendo doesn't really seem to like keeping foreign studios as second party for long,. I don't know if they still have any second party studios left outside of Japan. Meanwhile, Intelligent Systems and HAL are still second party studio, 30+ years later.
  9. With the people that died at the end of Batman Returns, I'd say it's fine if that version of Batman decided to retire. That said, Keaton is a fine age to play Batman Beyond old Bruce. He still needs to do his mecha Batman thing at the beginning of the series and Clint Eastwood is WAY too old to pull off being an old man wearing an Ironman suit fighting baddies. I also wouldn't plan a movie series with possibly multiple entries around a 90yo actor. Keaton being 60yo is more than old enough to be crotchety. I'm nearly 40 and already crotchety enough. I can't imagine I'd be less crotchety in a couple more decades.
  10. Serious talk now. Has anyone brought up that Trump totally farted while on the call? Did Donald Trump Fart While Attempting To Commit Election Fraud? | Defector DEFECTOR.COM There is nothing especially difficult to understand about the phone call that President Donald Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger this weekend, which is not the same thing as...
  11. I would give anything for Batman Beyond with Keaton, so that's very unlikely to happen since this is DC and WB we're talking about. Watch us, instead, get some sort of adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns.
  12. I never claimed they were good choices. I'm just saying that In Biden's mind, he may feel he needs to clean up the new before giving things over to the next generation.
  13. I don't actually hold that much against him. He could very well think he needs some people that already know how to right things before moving on.
  14. It's wild that he died back in October. I guess COVID and no touring makes these things easier to keep private.
  15. He was so good. It sounds like he died a couple of months ago, but the family was keeping it quiet until now.
  16. Cars 3 was great compared to Cars 2. I know a lot of people were hard on it, but I thought it was just as good as the first movie. That still puts it far below the likes of Ratatouille/WALL-E/Up/Toy Story 3, but still serviceable.
  17. This randomly reminds me. Wouldn't doing away with 230 now mean that all cloud-based email providers would have to scan through all mail to ensure they aren't liable for whatever is being spoken about? I don't see any real difference between like Reddit and Gmail other than presentation. Then again...what's to stop all these companies from updating their terms to state that any costs that resulting from 230 lawsuits would be directly the responsibility of the offending users?
  18. Why even get into the streaming stick game? Just release your app on Roku, Android, and Fire. I'm not including Apple here because their rules are crazy. This only makes if it's just another Android TV stick, but bundled with one of their controllers.
  19. The lawsuits will never end as long as Trump can use them to raise money. Either that or when lawyers start losing their licenses for trying to pull these stunts.
  20. He was definitely up to something with that hot tub.
  21. How this guy isn't being labeled a suicide bomber everywhere is criminal. I hate everything about this.
