Awww! He loves candy, and being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocents.

Yeah I think that the leader should be able to choose the person, but should have a short list chosen for them.

To me the issue isn't how extreme he is (though of course that is troubling), it's that a president mired in a scandal about the legitimacy of his election is about to appoint someone for life to SCOTUS, someone who will likely oversee cases about that scandal. That is why he should not be appointed.

He is handing Trudeau the next Canadian election. What a moron.

HOLY SHIT.
This is, indeed, a potentially very big deal.
No it's not. Nothing will be done.

Also most provincial governments already cover prescriptions if they are expensive and you make under a certain amount. My gf is on a $75,000/yr MS treatment and the government pays for it all.

The GOP still won't care. Their goal, above all else (including following any and all laws) is to win. Their supporters know this and agree with it. The law doesn't matter to the GOP, and it's probably only a matter of time until they outright ignore an actual election result.

Isn't this a bit risky considering that Google is suing Uber for stealing its self-driving tech? (well, suing Uber for using stolen tech brought over by an ex-Google employee)

I just want to point out that this joke is funnier than anything John Oliver, Samantha Bee, or Trevor Noah has ever done.
And the Canada-US Trade Agreement's supporters will be CUSTArds.

I don't give a shit about the continued digs at Bernie, but this is interesting perspective
If you're going to let the nominee be chosen by party members, then a straight-up popular vote is the way to go. Just do it all at once nation-wide following an inner-party campaign. I think that that is a mistake (allowing people to choose their leader willy-nilly), but if you're going to allow it then that is what should be done, not this nonsense of stretching it out over months and giving more weight to small states.

60% of qualified voters voted. Then on top of that, you have Hillary winning the popular vote, and on top of that Trump ran against HC. What I mean by "represents" is that Trumps views do not represent "white people".
What was his winning % of white suburban voters, though? If you take away white people in the major urban centres on the coasts, he probably had quite the margin on white suburban voters.

Nah, probably around 8-10.
