I don't.
I mean, a lot of them probably have kids who as far as they're concerned are just out for a fun boat ride

Not the beautiful boaters!
(I hope everyone is safe)

Yeah, I believe there's one version of the conspiracy where Bill Gates developed the virus in a lab so he could have a pretext for giving everyone the microchip tracker vaccine

I don't know if there's anything that Trump could possibly do or say at this point that would actually erode his approval ratings in a meaningful way, but the White House seems to think that there's at least a chance that this is actually it.

Allegedly because of "illegitimate attempts to subject Americans to its jurisdiction."
Some real "are we the baddies" shit

Thank God.
It sounds like Morse is probably not going to beat Neal, but I knew going in that was going to be way more of a longshot.

Okay, this fleshes it out a little bit more. They're gonna try and drum up some sort of conspiracy charges for the people who yelled at Rand Paul

The way things have been going lately, people are going to spend the next week or so saying, "LOL this senile idiot is imagining things again" and then a week from now Chad Wolf's on TV announcing, like, terrorism charges or something against a dozen protesters who happened to be wearing black at a Portland rally.

I watched it on a plane at the end of a long trip, so maybe I hallucinated this, but I believe they show a Frank Luntz focus group in Vice at one point. He's testing out of one of the Bush-era euphemistic phrases. I think it might have been "enhanced interrogation" in place of torture.

So how can anyone NOT percieve what's happening in the country right now between COVID 19 and the social unrest which is turning increasingly violent as anything BUT a failure in leadership from the top down? We had outbreaks and police shootings under Obama and it NEVER got this bad because we didn't have an absentee comander inchief who behaves as if he is still an ourisder looking in with no responisbility as to what is going on. Fuck him and his supporters.
Trump has pretty much made explicit at this point that anything that happens in a "Democrat city" or a "Democrat state" where he doesn't have majority support is not actually his responsibility. You can also see this in his comments on the California wildfires where he just rambles about how they should've raked the forest or whatever and threatens to withhold any federal aid from them in the future. But he also makes clear that the rioters in Democratic cities are planning on invading the beautiful suburbs, so that gives the pro-Trump militias tacit approval to basically invade downtown areas like we saw last night because it's sort of a preemptive strike.

Thinkin about this for no reason

I'm waiting for more information on the shooting. Seeing mixed things on Twitter. At any rate, you can find any number of videos of the truckers driving through cars macing people and firing paintballs at people.

Hoo boy. This seems like a powder keg.

Come and claim your prize if you voted "zero" for number of days it took for the college football season to be a trainwreck

Just look at that last quote. "Rightfully shunned, scorned, and mocked her entire life", and he never liked her.
This coming from the guy that leads the GOP, who preach all the time about "family values". How can anyone read that and honestly not find him despicably unlikable?
Most people who vote for him are never going to see that tweet. They'll be a few stories about it today that people may or may not see if they're playing attention to the news, and after that it'll just get added to the soup of commentary that's like, "Mr. Trump's often abrasive tweets are part of his unorthodox communication style that has turned some critics off..."

The Woodward book comes out September 15th. I wonder if newspapers are starting to get some blurbs of what's in the book and a reporter asked him for comment on something before they run with it.

Notably, we're getting extremely close to Sweden, the country that was deliberately trying to do herd immunity before realizing that they'd fucked up.

And these are pretty consistent since April. So unless undecideds break massively towards trump, and Biden voters drop supporting him en masse, he's well on track to win, and the fundamentals (covid, the economy, health care, the three biggest issues per Gallup) are not favorable for trump
I think maybe the most encouraging thing I've heard is that a lot of the state polls that were off by maybe 3 or 4 points in the tipping point states in 2016 weren't weighing for education in their results and have started doing that in 2020. So, assuming that they've done it accurately, if the same poll is showing +3 or +4 for Biden this year it might be spot on this time.
Of course, then there's the most nightmare inducing thing, which is that none of the polls or data models are accounting for any kind of voter suppression, mail-in ballot rejections, etc.

Oh man, you're probably right lol

Why does that start with "No," like he's responding to somebody else? Is he just talking to the voices in his head now?

It looks like the Obama firing thing was supposed to be skit at the 2012 RNC, and it was cancelled after Alex Pareene correctly guessed what it was ahead of time
