  1. They probably don't have a marketing budget for it, so I doubt it will sell all that well. I hope I'm wrong!
  2. I look forward to playing it some time after I finish D:OS 2. For whatever reason, Obsidian's rpgs just were not selling.
  3. What Beto helped do in Texas goes beyond Congress. He also helped moderate the Texas House: Led by female candidates, Texas Democrats picked up 12 Texas House seats from Republicans, mostly in North Texas. But Republicans still have the edge in the lower chamber. Are Texas suburbs slipping away from Republicans? Republicans hoped to keep a majority Texas House seats from Dallas County when they redrew district boundaries in 2011. Seven years later, they've only held onto two of 14.
  4. That sucks. I enjoyed Pillars and I really enjoyed Tyranny which I finished right before I finished Prey earlier this year. In fact, I like Tyranny better than any of the isometrics I've played recently. I think the ending was cool. I bought Deadfire for $30 on a sale recently and intend to play it. Obsidian selling to Microsoft makes a lot of sense. What's odd is we see that isometric RPGs are not dead. Divinity OS 2 sold really really well. Obsidian went the wrong route with their 2d art I think.
  5. North Dakota rejected marijuana legalization without any conditions ~60% against.
  6. I have to remain hopeful. The labor market is finally losing some slack so it should push wages up quicker.
  7. I have to admit that I'm surprised by the momentum at this point. It could be much better, but it is showing signs of life.
  8. I agree with you, but I think that's the best case that can be made for it.
  9. Apart from empirical results, gun ownership as a right could be argued to be closely related to the right of self defense.
  10. Beto did very well for a statewide race in Texas and he helped every other Democrat on the ballot and probably helped flip some house races for the Dems. Texas still has a few years before it turns reliably purple, but it's moving that direction. Beto was a best case scenario for the Dems since he was a rock star and Ted Cruz isn't even liked among Republicans.
  11. Pete Sessions was one of the largest marijuana prohibitionists in the House.
  12. It looks like Michigan marijuana legalization is going to win. North Dakota's broad measure with zero regulations looks like it will lose.
  13. Turn the news off if it is hitting you this hard psychologically and try to find hobbies and interests to focus on. If you want to help people, there are non profits that need help and money. Just vote and do your part. That's all you can do. P.S. The Dems will take the house tonight.
  14. I'm hoping that Pete Sessions is knocked out. He held back tons of marijuana reform votes.
  15. Beto is back ahead with Houston starting to report with 70% reporting! This is going to be way closer than I thought! Wow! If you guys want to know where future Dems should look, look at Texas. Edit: Beto is a rockstar, but it shows what's possible.
  16. No blue wave, but Democrats should be proud that they're this competitive in a mid term.
  17. Why do you think that? The evidence indicates the Dems are going to take the house.
  18. Texas is pretty damn competitive. The Democratic Lt Governor candidate is doing quite well, but not as well as Beto. The Dem governor candidate was downright awful, and Abbott is super popular, so it's not a very good measurement of how the state has moved.
  19. I think expectations were way too high here. The Dems are about to win the U.S. House. My brain is farting hard. Long day today at work.
  20. Democrats will win the house. Beto will lose Texas. Just watch when all the rural counties start coming in 70-30 for Cruz.
