  1. I feel positive about this, maybe for the wrong reasons. It seems to me that: Prey 2 is now more likely, the Dishonored series could get taken off of ice, and Elder Scrolls games may have shorter development cycles with a better engine. Microsoft has been funding some good things lately. They added games to Steam, AOE2 Definitive Edition+ AOE3 and 4 in dev, Obsidian and Flight Sim. Things could be worse!
  2. There’s a lot of wishful thinking going on by some. Someone much older than I am told me earlier today that they won’t have enough time to fill the seat before next year. Lol. I just shook my head and told them it's going to be filled and to start getting used to that reality. The only question is what are Democrats going to do about it? Probably nothing!!
  3. Democrats are going to have to get tough. They need to draw a line in the sand and threaten to pack the courts. The GOP escalated this when they didn’t give Obama’s nominee a fair shot.
  4. There is only around a 7% chance of that happening according to 538. Edit: Around a 16% chance going off of polls only.
  5. I've never heard of this poll above, so look at the average: Pennsylvania President: general election Polls | FiveThirtyEight PROJECTS.FIVETHIRTYEIGHT.COM The latest political polls collected by FiveThirtyEight.
  6. Which games? I saw that the spread between the 2080ti and the 3080 decreased in lower resolutions, but I assumed it was because of bottlenecks elsewhere in the system, such as the CPU.
  7. By going off of polls alone, Dems have a 68% chance of capturing the Senate, a 10 percentage point jump from the default deluxe model.
  8. Democrats Are Slight Favorites To Take Back The Senate | FiveThirtyEight FIVETHIRTYEIGHT.COM Democrats are slight favorites to regain control of the Senate, according to the FiveThirtyEight Senate forecast, which launched today. But the map is wide open… Looks tighter than the Presidential race. 2020 Senate Election Forecast | FiveThirtyEight PROJECTS.FIVETHIRTYEIGHT.COM Latest forecasts and polls for the 2020 Senate elections by Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight
  9. I’m used to disappointment, but this one stings since it was so damn close. AOC and others are correct. This would help Democrats at the ballot box. It’s really weird to not push this through. http://www.politico.com//favicon-16x16.png House punts marijuana vote - POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.COM A vote on the bill to remove federal penalties on marijuana will be delayed until after Election Day.
  10. /review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-founders-edition/images/small.png NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition Review - Must-have for 4K Gamers WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3080 "Ampere" Founders Edition is a truly impressive graphics card. It not only looks fantastic, performance is also better than even the RTX 2080 Ti. In our RTX 3080 Founders Edition review, we're also taking a close look at the new cooler, which runs quietly without throttling and has fan-stop.
  11. That’s a great point. If the GOP can vote to repeal the same law 40 times, why can’t the house take the time to vote on descheduling just once?
  12. I wrote my blue dog rep Cuellar (he’s useless on this issue) for what it’s worth after reading the article above. He is likely helping moderates in their attempt to kill it.
  13. http://thehill.com//apple-touch-icon.png Moderate Democrats push leadership to pull marijuana legislation THEHILL.COM Centrist Democrats are pushing House Democratic leadership to pull legislation expected to reach the House floor next week that would decriminalize marijuana at the federal level. It could fizzle.
  14. It’s going to be fascinating to see how Democrats handle Biden if he is really going to oppose the MORE Act which the House is about to pass which deschedules cannabis and opposes a senate effort to deschedule. Let’s not forget that Kamala is for descheduling it as well and is the Senate sponsor for the MORE Act! Biden only supports making it schedule 2 and then leaving states alone. This would be problematic because it doesn’t allow the FDA to regulate the stuff nor would it allow interstate commerce between states. It’s time for full descheduling. If you wanted to force legalization nationwide, they could blackmail states with Federal dollars if they don’t legalize it. That won’t happen though so just deschedule. Get on board Biden!
  15. It seems more promising than anything we have found on Mars since they are struggling to find another explanation for it. It’s plausible Venus was home to many forms of life before the present hostile atmosphere formed. I hope we make studying this a priority.
  16. Read more: https://www.tweaktown.com/news/75139/amd-big-navi-hits-spitting-distance-of-geforce-rtx-3080-performance/index.html One sign that AMD is better funded is they are releasing a competitive card within a few months of nvidia. In the last 5 years, it would take them up to 18 months to release something competitive. If AMD can crank out RDNA 3 within 15 months, I think we are going to see some competition assuming they can somehow counter dlss.
  17. @Brick, that's a lot to digest. With respect to covid-19 deaths, if it's the same as the seasonal flu, I would ask him why hospitals start to overflow when distancing and mask wearing are not followed in various states and nations . Many cities have had to resort to refrigerator trucks for storing dead bodies at different times. This isn't normal. I don't consider the rest worth responding to (actually nothing there is). It's interesting black communities are so supportive of Biden when he has apparently done so much damage. Maybe he wants to clean some of that damage up. He certainly seems more supportive of criminal justice reform than Trump.
  18. My last sentence covered my stance on Navi 10. I disagree. Ray tracing arguably wasn't worth the FPS cost on the 2070 and DLSS 1.0 wasn't widely supported. It's going to be a much bigger deal going forward, but when talking about buying a card over a year ago, it just wasn't as big of an issue.
  19. This is premature. There are no third party reviews of Nvidia's new cards and AMD hasn't even announced anything yet. Navi 10 was a viable mid tier option last gen.
  20. I maintain that RDNA 3 will be the generation from AMD that finally turns some heads. I expect something between a 3070 and 3080 with more vram but fewer features this time around.
  21. That's extremely generous of you, but I don't need it as much as some other people here.
