  1. You guys should short CCIV now that I bought in. It's bound to crash now that I have a few shares. Stop order set. If it goes to $25 I'm out.
  2. Basically looking for quick momentum plays, so this may fit the bill if it gets going. I want to triple my investment within a month or less! It looks like it has already gone up, but it'll go up on 'this is the next Tesla' frenzy buying hopefully. I'm in with my gambling money.
  3. Same here. I hope you guys get 10x++++ return on your purchases. I'll take a look at the landscape next week. I'm wondering when this overall party is going to end. A lot of stocks with no earnings or operational cash flow are going to the moon. We have a ways to go before we hit dot come type territory, so there may be a lot more money to make on momentum trading. Edited
  4. Of course. I'm well aware of what this is. This is casino money. It's just for fun and maybe to win a bit. I think I'm going to see if there's a pull back on OCGN next week.
  5. This reminds me when my father was telling me about PLUG in early 2020. I did a little research and concluded I didn't understand enough about the company to invest in it. I had $10k to invest as low $10 at the time. PLUG is now worth 60+ a share. :P OCGN I did my research and I thought it was too speculative and there was insufficient evidence that it was going to work out. Well here we are with it in the 7s after hours when i twas $2.60 last I looked!
  6. What if the phase 3 trials were bad, or what if they don't get approval in the US? I shouldn't ask these sorts of questions because the price is up!!
  7. I'll share some of my speculative gambling stocks. The small position stocks I think they are likely to fail, but there's that off chance of a 50x gain or so. All of these are long-term holds, not trading stocks. I have a small position in: AGE- AgeX Therapeutics - Owns some IP related to methods to reverse age related damage. Nothing has gone through trials of any kind. It's been struggling with cash a while. Juvenescence, a company backed by billionaire Jim Mellon, owns most of the company for now. Juvenescence is also looking at an IPO soon which I will probably purchase. The idea here is to get in on the next big bubble (think big tech, cannabis, crypto), which could end up being age related biotech. LCTX- Lineage Cell Therapeutics- AgeX sort of split off LCTX and they share some of the same basic methods. They focus on theraputics for degenerative diseases. I have larger positions in the following. I don't see these stocks going to the moon, but I'm targeting a 2x return over a 2-3 year period: AMD- Everyone here knows who they are. Whether they can double or not from here depends on if they can increase their scale in manufacturing by working with Samsung in addition to TSMC as well as getting more datacenter wins. They have the right management team to keep moving up and I'm going to continue holding. CNK- As mentioned earlier, Cinemark is a better managed movie theater company. Bitcoin- I started tip toeing into cryptos this December with small positions in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Ethereum- I have more in ETH than Bitcoin. I believe there is more upside here because it seems like it is more flexible and efficient than Bitcoin. They both seem like they're in a bubble, so I'm only putting small amounts in and I'm hoping for a complete crash. If that doesn't happen, then I'll just accept that at least I got in with something. I don't hold any other cryptos. I think the 2 largest are speculative enough as it is. Edited ** I gamble with a small % of my portfolio. The rest is in index funds. 8. What's the story here for further gains? It already went up 6x+ back in December. I see it is only a 465 million dollar market cap though.
  9. I’ve been watching Intel closely for a while and wanted to make a restructuring play on it. I missed the $45 entry because I wanted to purchase around $35-40, but it looks like those days are gone. AMD has more room to run over the next two years or so, at least I hope since I still hold some!
  10. This gives me greater confidence in my conviction I got from my research on them before I dove in a few weeks ago, so I appreciate the insight from someone in the industry. Their leadership style seems well suited for getting through the pandemic and they are stronger financially, so they could withstand some disappointments with vaccine roll outs. Let's hope for $40 in 2 years!
  11. I have a bit of CNK I bought a few weeks ago for a post COVID play with a theatre with a better balance sheet. It’s not as exciting as AMC, but it’s doing well so far.
  12. Hoping and predicting are two different things. Silver hit $47 about 10 years ago. I doubt it will do so again, but I hope it does.
  13. Not from this. I think markets are a bit frothy here, but I'm not too worried about a crash. I wouldn't be surprised if we had a correction in the near future and then gradually bounce back to new highs later. If the vaccine roll out picks up steam, I'm bullish over the next 5 years even if things are ahead of themselves at the moment.
  14. I sold my AMC this morning at a slight loss from my purchase price. It just seems like it's running out of steam and I'm not going to be caught holding the bag. It was a fun ride though! Good luck to everyone. I hope silver runs up to $50+
  15. I already have an old position that’s up 2.5x from 10 years ago. I’m not purchasing anymore, but it sure would be nice. Meanwhile: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-31/silver-retail-sites-grind-to-halt-as-reddit-horde-moves-to-coins?srnd=premium It looks like it’s catching on enough to trigger runs on retail physical.
  16. Silver may fizzle before it ever gets traction: Bottom line: The fund they are trying to bury has a long position in SLV.
  17. SLV. They buy physical silver to back it up. Otherwise you are betting on mining companies. I avoid any etfs that trade in silver futures. Edit: None of this is investment advice. My actual advice is boring indexing funds.
  18. Silver is thin enough that if everyone got on board, they could trigger a major price increase. I’m just skeptical that it’ll happen.
  19. Why did you buy silver? Do you think that will gain more traction with Wall Street bets? I know there is some posting going on about it. I have an old silver position from a decade ago. It would be neat to watch it go from 14-250 an ounce!
