  1. Ok so saying they’re not in control was hyperbole. What I meant is his wing of the party doesn’t have enough power to push 3.5 trillion dollars through. Sanders is saying 3.5 trillion and then I just read this in a politico article: K Street counting on Senate to pare back Democrats’ tax plan WWW.POLITICO.COM So the House Plan which is already watered down is being snickered at by lobbyists. Everything I’ve read has similar projections that in the end this will be between 1.5-2.5 rather than 3.5 trillion.
  2. Sanders must not be reading any of the news. His wing of the party is not in control. The final deal will end up being between 1.5-2.5 trillion dollars.
  3. This doesn't seem like a bad thing to me in the face of China's rise. France got left out because they're not anti China enough for us I guess. I also read that France has some contracts for some diesel subs with Australia, so this is also about money.
  4. I'm worried that it's going to be Shannara with a bigger budget. Poor acting and casting decisions could wreck the show even if it has a high budget and decent writing. Overall I'm neutral on the trailer. It doesn't make me feel any better or any worse about the show, but I was hoping for something more.
  5. I need to look at how many troops we had left before Biden pulled the trigger, but I'm pretty sure we could afford a small presence there for a while longer. It seems like it would have been more reasonable to do an unannounced phased withdrawal with certain benchmarks to prevent things from going this far south. At least evacuate every single person that helped us there as we could before moving so fast. We made no tangible gains over the last couple of decades, but Biden fucked up managing this thing.
  6. Yep. If McConaughey chooses not to run, Texas will be Abbott/Patrick led till at least 2026. Beto is running behind by over 10% against Abbott while McConaughey is statistically even. Who knows if that support will stay there once he declares himself a Democrat or Independent, but it's still likely he has a much better shot than Beto. The best scenario for Democrats would be McConaughey for governor and Beto for Lt. Governor. In Texas, Lt. Governor has a ton of power, so Beto shouldn't pass it over. Gov. Abbott rebounds against possible challenger Matthew McConaughey, has razor-thin edge over actor (dallasnews.com)
  7. Starlink is a game changer for a lot of people I know. People in towns often times have 3 mb down DSL guys or fixed wireless with random packet loss. I think some of you live in cities and don't associate with people in rural areas so perhaps you do not understand. Musk is not relevant to these people. It's the technology. I also look forward to having flights with decent Internet in the future.
  8. How much of the infrastructure bill that is ‘bipartisan’ would go to the grid?
  9. Puerto Rico and DC statehood, no filibuster, $15 minimum wage, the green new deal, wealth taxes, voting rights legislation, marijuana legalization...
  10. I’ll take him over Paxton, the most corrupt politician in Texas. In Texas you either have shit or crap and I’ll take the crap.
  11. I’m still waiting for an 85% sell off to purchase a ton of ethereum ( a ton meaning less than 3% of my allocation but still big to me for such a speculative bet). I unloaded nearly all my Bitcoin on Sunday and a little less than half my ETH. Holding my tiny position in AAVE. I believe that there will be a hard crash in crypto some time this year or early next based on the mania going on and everyone talking about it plus the parabolic charts, but I don’t have a crystal ball so I kept some in case this is some sort of new paradigm (doubt it). I don’t see a future for Bitcoin. Nothing is being built for it like ETH and no upgrades are coming to make it more environmentally friendly. ETH 2.0 proof of stake will make it environmentally friendly, so bring on a hard crash and let us all buy some for cheaper.
  12. Ive been in for $100 since the first week. My wife and I are huge fans of mst and rifftrax. It’s nearly at 6.15. It needs to get above 6.364 for a 13th episode. I’m caught off guard at the magnitude of the last couple of days. I was thinking it may get to 9 episodes, but this is great! If they execute this in a competent way, hopefully it will be sustainable to have mst without Kickstarter’s going forward.
  13. Got Shadow and Clean Hands, but didn't try for Flesh and Steel. Oddly enough I thought I got these achievements for Dishonored 1, but I guess not because they're not in my profile. What the hell! I did get Shadow and Agent of Mercy in Death of the Outsider as well.
  14. I agree. I would say all his points are correct; it’s clunky as shit in some respects (dear lord the map). Yet it’s still a masterpiece. Its shortcomings are more than made up for in other ways. I’m trying to think of a movie that would be the equivalent and I almost said the original blade runner, but I wouldn’t consider that a masterpiece, just a great film. I’ll get around to Replicant soon enough, but I know it won’t be as good.
  15. In Aoe3, I just won several matches again the new United States civ. I think I’m playing too much AoE3, but damn more people should be excited. Aoe2 and 3 definitive editions are really great. The developers are patching and balancing them regularly making multiplayer a blast. I’ve always loved competitive rts online, so I couldn’t be more pleased with theses games and the effort going into aoe4. I can’t speak to the single player.
  16. I didn’t play the DLC for Bioshock 2. I loved all the Bioshock games. I really enjoyed the DLC for Infinte as well.
  17. It's looking really good. I've been sinking a lot of time into Age of Empires 3 DE multiplayer and this is all just too good to be true to have new civs for AOE3 and now AOE4 coming out! I don't know why some people do not like the graphics. I think they look great. Maybe I'm not that picky since I think AOE3 graphics are nice looking still.
  18. I want to see what the tax hikes will look like. Is student loan forgiveness going in this?
  19. I'm hoping that another crypto like Ethereum displaces Bitcoin. It has more utility and is switching over from proof of work (energy intensive) to proof of stake which won't require massive resources to mine. Most of the decentralized financial coins and platforms are using the Ethereum network already. Bitcoin is just a digital asset, nothing more. It doesn't have much utility. It just has the name and the press's attention, but I see way more potential for ETH. We are also going to see some cryptos from central banks, including a crypto dollar most likely in the near future. That should be interesting.
  20. Growth is taking it hard, particularly tech and biotech. My small cap value tilt is really showing its utility right now.
  21. Texas disaster puts Beto O’Rourke back in business - POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.COM The onetime Democratic sensation has new political life — and, perhaps, hope for the governorship.
  22. My wife and I have two white NZXT H510s on the desktops we bought last year. My other older desktop has a corsair 540 air. I prefer the look of the cheaper NZXT if you don't mind not having a disc drive.
