My condolences Wade. It's not easy and will feel like a gut punch now. I lost my dog 2 years ago. I was closer to him than any other I've had and it was really difficult. I can tell you that I am thankful now that I got to spend those years with him and take care of him, and he continues to give joy long after his passing. I hope the same happens to you down the road and you can look back and think of the good things. -

They're going to route of up to viability. That should work in Michigan. Opponents are already attacking it as not being consistent with what the majority thinks about abortion and are highlighting the ultra rare extreme cases on the fringe. Likewise though, most don't support outright bans. I hope pro-choice advocates are a bit flexible when they get to redder states, but somehow I have a feeling they won't be and they may actually end up losing some ballots.

I’m certainly not angry either, it’s just a damn good show and they didn’t land the ending with the quality it deserved. -

I finished this a couple weeks ago and the ending was so mediocre I forgot to comment about it. -

Good overall, but I think Russian thread this season was completely unnecessary and a waste of screen time. I always looked forward to it getting back to the other threads. The humor was over the top and didn’t work for me. -
I would suggest that abortion rights advocates take notes on how marijuana legalization advocates got shit done and to go on the offensive politically. In fact, abortion rights have an advantage that marijuana didn’t when advocates started winning in California back in 1996. Marijuana legalization was opposed by most Americans back in the 90s. So advocates started passing medical marijuana to change perceptions. Abortion rights can skip having to convince the public since most are already on board. With funds and proper organization, 2 years is all advocates need to place something on a state ballot. Liberals need to form a giant political fund to run campaigns in several states at once, partnering with state organizations and paying professionals to collect valid signatures. Use the state initiative process in every state that bans it to bypass the legislature and legalize the procedure. In more conservative states, moderate the proposal sorta like medical marijuana. Pass local ballot initiatives in cities within deep red states to legalize the procedure, defund enforcement of anti-abortion statutes, and support patients that want abortions. Fund DAs that run and refuse to enforce the law. Create funds that support pro-choice campaigns, including elected judges in the state level, in swing districts and states as well as red states when it makes sense. Press lawsuits based on any state constitutional language that could be favorable to protect patients. Grassroots pressure makes real tangible changes while pressuring congress at the same time. Of course, Biden can do some things with his power, but advocates need to accept what’s happened and plan a strategy to change laws.

Curbing inflation in other goods and services. It’s also likely that if rate hikes trigger a recession it will bring down oil and commodity prices. This is because we won’t address the supply side so we have to curb demand to fix price instability. The ideal response on the supply side is more housing/mass transit by building up, increased immigration, decreased tariffs, and increasing port infrastructure as quickly as possible. These policies should increase the supply of housing, labor, goods and services while removing logistics bottlenecks.

The problem with a civil war or revolution of any kind is you never really know who will be in power when all the dust settles. This country isn't worth it at this point. I'm out if it ever comes to some sort of war.
