  1. images/qu-poll-ui-default-share.jpg?v=1.0.3 9/28/22 - Texas Governor's Race: Abbott Leads O'Rourke 53% - 46%, Quinnipiac University Texas Poll Finds; Texas-Mexico Border Ranks As #1 Issue Among Likely Voters | Quinnipiac University Poll POLL.QU.EDU "The race for the top job in Austin leans toward Abbott, who has very strong support from white Texans, particularly white men, while O'Rourke has overwhelming appeal among Black... Don’t get your hopes up for Beto. There’s going to have to be a huge polling error for him to win at this point. I really wish he would win and he has my vote but chances are slim. Maybe the likely voters models are flawed.
  2. 3d cache versions of zen 4 are going to be incredible if the 5800x3d and zen 4 reviews are an indication. Rumor is they’ll be out q1 23. .
  3. Well I watched it this weekend. And to think I was worried this would be like Shannara. The slower pacing is welcome. Wheel of Time producers and writers should take note. We are enjoying this and HotD. There is no reason to choose one over the other. I totally geeked out over the orcs. I would only criticize that sometimes things feel a little too predictable thus far. The dialogue sometimes seems a bit dry, but it seems consistent with lotr. The complaints are mostly bullshit. People that legitimately would have issues with the show would be those that don’t like high fantasy or slower pacing. The production values are stunning and I love the world.
  4. Garza has the best shot by every poll. Paxton is so corrupt that even some republicans can’t stomach him.
  5. Why Nvidia's RTX 4080, 4090 Cost so Damn Much | Tom's Hardware WWW.TOMSHARDWARE.COM And how AMD's RDNA3 chiplets could seriously undercut Nvidia I'll add to the negative press. :P
  6. I’m thinking of picking up a 5800x3d early next year for hopefully a discount and popping it in my motherboard. I would be upgrading from a 3800x.
  7. I doubt Nvidia would go all in with it if it felt off. My guess is it will only bother people that are pro gamers, but perhaps I'm too optimistic.
  8. I watched part of it. Basically while DLSS 3 may appear smoother on the screen, gamers may not feel the smoothness because input latency has not improved vs. reflex dlss 2.0 This may be a problem for certain types of competitive games, but probably not a problem for others.
  9. I don't know why they're waiting a month, but it's not that long compared to them sometimes being 6 months behind Nvidia with an announcement.
  10. DLSS 3.0 is very impressive. These prices are garbage. AMD won’t be much better. I’m hoping Intel can get their act together to give everyone another option. My guess is AMD will beat nvidia in rasterization performance per watt and surprise everyone, but they won’t have an answer to DLSS 3. They will probably have some PowerPoints for FSR 3 and it won’t be released for another 9 months or more and will only increase performance incrementally. I get the feeling fsr’s approach will hit a wall sooner than DLSS, but RDNA 3 is also the first competitively financed architecture AMD has released in a 10+ years. AMD shouldn’t be underestimated. So let’s see what they got.
  11. That was the argument Texas Democrats gave in South Texas. I don’t believe it.
  12. That’s exactly how I pictured the judge would look like before I opened this thread.
  13. Looking forward to some multiplayer on this. I had fun with the first one
  14. Republicans look to restrict ballot measures following a string of progressive wins - POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.COM The state efforts are a direct threat to abortion-rights advocates and other liberal groups’ efforts to bypass governors and legislatures and take issues directly to voters. They know they’ll lose so they’re going to try to get rid of it.
  15. I think they’re coming out strong because the bond market didn’t believe them. It was pricing in rate cuts next year. That’s starting to change. The Fed wants to put the brakes on inflation because they’re worried consumers will start to expect high prices long term which destabilizes the currency. They’re willing to trigger a recession to prevent this because they see it as the lesser evil.
