Movies Anyone planning to see The Menu this weekend?
SoberChef replied to EternallDarkness's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Yeah at first I thought it was a vampire flick then it dawned on me "Oh shit they're in daylight! OMFG THEY'RE CANNIBALS!" So yeah definitely intrigued for sure (thanks 'Alive' for leaving your mark on my psyche & soul.) -

Absolutely on my "must see" list, however I may not go see this until next weekend & have a double or even triple feature with Glass Onion & Bones and All as well. -

Movies Do you ever rewatch just scenes from movies?
SoberChef replied to thewhyteboar's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Most recently, it's that abso-fucking-lutely PHENOMENAL scene in Andor episode 10 that Stellan delivers. It is completely mesmerizing to see. That said, I have done this innumerable times since my childhood even but now its more for feels/vibes of a scene or the way it looks or sounds with relation to my own home theater setup. It definitely is not weird or out of the norm for those of us that really cherish & revel in the glorious moments of film & television we fall in love with. -
Watched earlier this afternoon and have had more than a few hours for this ... experience (!?) to wash over me. Perhaps THE most harrowing, gut wrenching, brutal depiction of the toll of war upon a young man that I've ever seen. Quite easily may have skyrocketed into my top 3 all time for war films for sure.

Movies Terrifier 3 Arriving Oct. 11th 2024

In its 6th straight week, it will still be playing in over 1200 theaters this weekend!!! -
I know that grown up Jason & the mask are items belonging to the Cunningham side of things, however they can use childhood Jason in the prequel series. What I really love about this series potential, and I believe its what probably drew Fuller in, at least in part, is the fact that there is an inherent challenge in terms of not only what can & cannot be used but that its being adapted for a TV series that is more or less official unlike the old "Friday 13th TV series" which was basically only in name. Add to that is the fact that Fuller had to work within a lot of those similar constraints when adapting Hannibal for TV (still to this day one of THE greatest series ever hands down, seek it out if you haven't watched it yet!)

Television RIP in Peace, Westworld
SoberChef replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
As a big fan when it first started, I'm a little sad to say I have yet to even watch any of the 4th season, now I don't know if I'll even ever bother. Truly a shame really.
