  1. I'm curious, does anyone think we'll get at least a single, if not multiple flashbacks with younger Joel & Tommy post-apocalypse?
  2. Following episode lengths as follows: #2 - 55 minutes #3 - 76 minutes (Bill & Frank episode) #4 - 46 minutes #5 - 59 minutes #6 - 59 minutes #7 - 56 minutes #8 - 51 minutes #9 - 43 minutes
  3. So I'm watching the breakdown of the episode on Kinda Funny & they pointed out in the last shot that there's a clicker atop of a building to the left. Booted it up and low & behold, there it is, and he's even howling/screaming & just god damn this show is so fucking good!
  4. Finally going to Mandalore is going to be surreal. Props to Pedro for killing it, we as an audience are spoiled with his skills between this & TLoU over the course of the next 4 or so months!!
  5. On the verge of or outright was bawling throughout. Not because of the moment to moment of it all, but that something I cherish so much (arguably TLoU 1 & 2 are top echelon game experiences of all time for me) that its just so unbelievably beautiful to behold it as a live action adaptation being done with SO much love, grace, & respect. Granted, its because I've had the experience of the games multiple times, so that benefits me knowing where the story is going. Granted, I thought I was ready for being hurt again, but woefully I am not but I accept & invite the hurt to come over these next couple months because it's worth experiencing again. I'm genuinely intrigued by those who have zero context of the games as to what they think & feel by the time all is said & done. My wife enjoyed the hell of out of it last night & had merely seen me play the games a few times here & there so she has basic context but isn't the type to be in the minutiae of the games. Lastly, probably a bit of a dad joke, but I'm pretty sure Joel will NEVER want to hear this song on the radio
  6. Barely ever look at my own profile but happened to do so just before posting this, oh WOW I joined Dec. 30th 2010 (believe this place was set up earlier in that month). Genuinely haven't really missed IGN's boards even if I randomly lurk about from time to time, yet this place is just all around so much better! Thankful, grateful even to you all!
  7. If you ever decide to smoke a brisket, the beef tallow comes in handy for that. Also, smothering it on and/or using that fat to fry the steak is solid. Personally & especially when obtaining a good piece of steak (preferably dry aged), I reverse sear my beef after further dry aging it for at least a day, no more than 2, with a liberal amount of kosher or sea salt. I prefer reverse searing my steaks above any other method. Furthermore for usage of both the tallow & duck fats, roast literally any veggie in an oven and it will be superb! (FAT = FLAVOR!) By the way @CastlevaniaNut18wasn't it you that had made a thread awhile back about obtaining knives? What did you end up getting? For myself this weekend, between Rick Bayliss educating me on the divine nature of avocado leaves when making barbacoa (w/ short ribs) in a slow cooker as well as this super easy creamy cilantro slathered spatchcock chicken, I'll be eating well over the next few days!
  8. Looks like everything from the early 00's is coming back around as Ridley Scott, fresh off of finishing filming for his Napolean picture, is going to finally get around to directing the long gestating sequel to Gladiator.
  9. Since Patreon is ubiquitous nowadays, I was curious who's channels are you subbing to and what are their field of expertise? Personally I only sub to 4 totaling $7/month: The Movie Crypt Patrick H Willem(s) Last Stand Media The Critical Drinker
  10. Having re-watched the whole series 3 or 4 times now, it is definitely enjoyable. Keep giving us updates about events that took place that hit you in your feels or characters you've come to love (TIG FTW!!!)
  11. Couldn't agree more @Chairslinger. I know we all have hours/days/weeks yet to figure out how this will all shake out BUT its imperative to consider the following: Who else quits/resigns/waits out their contract(s)? Women's wrestling under a Saudi operated company ... what will that look like? What about the impending TV rights deals they were due to negotiate this year? Will WWE even exist as it does now by the end of the year?
  12. I know some titles in recent years have offered a "download single player" or "download multiplayer" options so the gamer doesn't have to worry about downloading all facets of any given title if they are only going to using part of the game. Wish this was more widespread across all titles & preferred gaming consoles, at least when it is merited.
  13. The series, which stars Odenkirk as a college professor in the midst of a midlife crisis, has also released a brief teaser (watch it above) and rounded out the guest cast for its eight-episode season. Oscar Nuñez (The Office), Tom Bower (Crazy Heart, Raymond & Ray), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley) will all have recurring roles.
  14. The beginning of the end of the company responsible for fostering the love & passion I have for pro-wrestling, truly a shame.
  15. Groundhog Day - 4K The Menu - Blu Ray (thanks Disney!) Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead - 4K Blade Runner: The Final Cut 4K Leon: The Professional 4K A Better Tomorrow - Blu-Ray Live Die Repeat 4K Dressed to Kill 4K In Bruges 4K Django Special Edition 4K (Arrow) Platoon 4K Back to the Future 4K Trilogy Wild Things Unrated 4K Gremlins 4K Predator 4K (Sounds phenomenal!) Mattrats Special Edition Blu Ray Superman 1978 & Man of Steel 4K's Terrifier 2 4K & Blu Ray Steelbook Highlander 4K Yeah wow that's a lot!
  16. So just a quick update, while I have gotten an absurd amount of films the last few weeks, I want to say I recently upgraded my center channel to a Klipsch RP-504C (for a whopping $300 - formerly had the R-50C) and as I hooked up this gigantic monstrosity of a center channel, only to ask myself "Why doesn't this sound as good as you believe it should!?" I did a little digging and low & behold I not only discovered the Atmos settings through my Xbox Series X, but also a whole other set of tuning options through my Denon receiver (fuck I need to upgrade this later in the year as its an AVR X1300) so now my entire 7.1 setup sounds like I have never had the pleasure of hearing it every before!!
  17. I believe the review embargo lifts at 3am EST. *EDIT* Seems as though everyone is raving about how amazing the show is, that pleases me & warms my heart to know. Bring on Sunday nights w/ HBO!!
  18. I've watched this 4 times now & it never stops being fantastically hysterical! Absolutely my 2nd favorite film of 2022!
