Based on the classic wuxia novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils by Louis Cha (known worldwide by his pen name Jin Yong), Sakra stars Donnie Yen as Qiao Feng, the respected leader of a roving band of martial artists. After he is wrongfully accused of murder and subsequently exiled, Qiao Feng goes on the run in search of answers about his own mysterious origin story—and the unknown enemies working to destroy him from the shadows. Kam Ka Wai & Donnie Yen direct. The cast includes Chen Yuqi, Cya Liu, Wai Ying Hung, and Wu Yue. Sakra opens in select theaters on April 14 and is available on Digital starting April 18, 2023.

I also have to add this: I have despised & even outright hated Jack Black for decades. There is nothing redeemable about this guy, he's a hack, I just don't like him I cannot explain it. That being said however, in this weeks' episode, it was the least Jack Black of his performances, so that was pleasant.

I love how TK returned volley this week. Setting his sights on such a grand prize. Legit, the last time a major wrestling promotion was in Wembley was in 1992's Summerslam! He has Double or Nothing & Forbidden Door ahead of this All In PPV to help build toward the event itself. Add in Jay White, possibly Ibushi (still holding out hope what can I say?) and inevitably, some how, Punk as well returning (business wise it makes sense & I mean, that's a hell of a feather in the cap to sell out the place right?) The show that WWE put on a few months back, I believe it was Clash at the Castle, those tix sold out quick too. The UK is starved for events like this.

Also, serious props to a Tasha Yar appearance!

I think it's generally hysterical looking at & hearing about all the awful (in my opinion) "hot takes" about this season. Clearly those that did not watch, or were not fans of, both The Clone Wars & Rebels, then you're just not into Filoni's work then (sorry then you'll probably not going to enjoy Ahsoka either.) That being said, as a viewer of those series since their beginning, I have come to truly love & adore Dave's take on storytelling within the Star Wars Universe. This season has given us so much already & we still have what, another 2 or 3 episodes to go? Coincidentally, the final two episodes will be directed by the same guy that directed the season 3 premiere, so that's cool.

To be fair, on my part at least, it's lifelong de-programming.

The Pope did recently make a statement about abolishing the practice of celibacy so things like this may not be quite as "common"? I mean I get how 1000 years ago, priests would be slinging ALL the dick in town because they hold the high ground morally & others were wanting to "get in good" with the men of the cloth. Today however, I don't think it's quite the same, but I'm fairly certain paternity suits would cost a hell of a lot less than child rape/molestation suits.

Meanwhile, AEW had a hell of a show tonight. MJF with another stellar segment while Jay White is signed & FTR are officially Top Guys again!

As I said earlier, C2E2 is still a thing & we have PAX East & West still as well. Add to it digital events from the big 3 and it's just the new model of what we've always had. Personally, it's more of a eulogy for what seems like a definitive end to E3 (at least until somebody with nostalgia issues attempts to bring it back to life in like 2030.)

Solid cast w/ a few alums from Mayans. Looks interesting enough to be sure.

Arrow announces June releases. I'm curious, would those who frequent this thread enjoy more of these types of updates going forward?

I'm right w/ @Mercury33about always forgetting to post here. Usually there's a thread for whatever specific film I want to talk about, so I just don't think about this thread hardly ever. Intend to watch 'Tetris' at some point this weekend among all the Mania related stuff happening. Aside from that, "Air" & "Super Mario Brothers Movie" next week at a smaller local theater I have yet to visit.

I feel as though this video lends a whole hell of a lot to this thread: Huge fan of nachos, oftentimes when I go to a new restaurant/pub, I'll specifically order their nachos to see how well the establishment is. That being said, some spicy or salt/vinegar pork rinds always hit the spot!

At least ReedPop still has C2E2 this weekend.
