Television 'The Last of Us' nominated for 25 Emmy Awards
SoberChef replied to SaysWho?'s topic in The Performing Arts Centre
All I care about is that Rhea FINALLY wins for her role in BCS! -
Remember, while yes it should stand on its own, this IS a part 1 of 2. McQ himself said he'd like for someone to be able to surely watch both individually, but that as a whole, it has a better pay off. I'm going in, knowing full well it is only half of the story, so in terms of a full review, is it warranted necessarily until we can all step back & behold the full tapestry at work here? As for Pom's character, I've heard she would be better suited in a John Wick universe flick than this, but hey let's have some fun, shall we?

Farmers Insurance is leaving Florida.
SoberChef replied to CastletonSnob's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Wasn't this predicted to happen some time ago, or possibly I am confusing this with insurance companies exiting California as well? -
General Entertainment Favorite YouTube channels
SoberChef replied to CastlevaniaNut18's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
So I had an idea about this thread, why not use it to share vids we each come across to share with one another going forward? Sort of like the "what are you reading/listening to" or "what have you recently watched"? I'll start if that's alright: I really enjoy the GQ series where so many of my favorite actors break down their careers. -
Movies Blue Beetle | August 18
SoberChef replied to Keyser_Soze's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
It does LOOK good, if not for it being really SO close to @Baconcomment about Spidey + Iron Man = this. I enjoy the kid in the main role via his acting in Cobra Kai, and I do think its wicked cool that the Latino aspect of the story is so highlighted here, really does provide a hero for those who may not have known about him prior, which is awesome. All of that being said ... and it pains me ... but I really don't even know WHAT the comic book hero movie genre can even provide me with anymore that I haven't already seen so many times before. *EDIT* Also ... what the FUCK is Susan Sarandon doing in this flick for anything other than a check? -
I can't even bother buying scratch offs as I never ever win & just feel like I wasted my cash.

Isn't Banjo Kazooie the default answer for long time Xbox fans? -
I have to say that both Bahama Breeze & Margaritaville have pretty delicious refried black beans. Also, Texas Roadhouse, I have NEVER left there full nor without a gang of leftovers!!

This thread is now about byemebluray and IGN
SoberChef replied to SaysWho?'s topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
So what's this about physical media? -
So this new mission (more than likely the final piece of DLC for this title) ends with a bang, giving us arguably THE hardest mission I've ever attempted. In fact, I'm still in the midst of attempting to work my way through this gigantic aircraft carrier, SO many corridors, easy to get lost, even more enemies AND all close quarter! Really wish they hadn't gotten rid of wired mines but oh well, I'll get through it!

California pot industry is going up in smoke
SoberChef replied to Remarkableriots's topic in The Shower
To be fair, it needs to be de-scheduled on a federal level & policies enacted so that it isn't merely a cash business, as it's essentially legal cartels then. -
GQ Removes Article Critical of Zaslav
SoberChef replied to Jason's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Zaslav knows where the bodies are buried ... coincidentally they're all located on Garth Brooks estate! -
They sell sliced fruit/veggies for a serious upcharge, which works against my point. As for messy/dangerous, granted I wouldn't recommend EVERYONE to do this, preferably those who have a healthy knowledge of the culinary industry. Again, this is why I'm speaking directly about produce only, that way the case for food borne pathogens cross contaminating wouldn't be an issue to begin with. Furthermore, if I'm using the bags provided ... "...they sell you fruit by weight, what you cut off doesn't matter..." ummmm, this is the point of the thread, to save money by cutting off/out those parts to which won't be eaten yet are being paid for regardless.
