I thought the National Inquirer had stopped being printed, guess just editorial made a move! -

So the hackers are vegans then right? Seriously though, I just got a smoker this year and now I'll pretty much only be able to do chickens & pork as brisket is about to skyrocket! Furthermore, I feel awful for steak houses that are about to charge an egregious amount while they're all beginning to open back up.

Top to bottom, a most excellent PPV for sure! A few thoughts about it ... Britt v Shida: If we're being honest, we all knew Britt was going over before the bout began, but it's the how & when of it all that was the question. Truthfully, about midway through, you could see the girls were gassed a bit and it was there I was starting to fret. Then all of a sudden they both found this determination to just go above & beyond and really attempt to own the PPV (in their own right, they really were a spectacular highlight of the night!) By the end, it was inevitable that Shida would get put into submission but there were SO many near falls & the ebbs & flows of the match ... I was exhausted but excitedly so when all was said & done. Bravo ladies! Kenny v. Pac v. Cassidy: I really just don't have words other than THIS IS HOW YOU BOOK A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH! So much story telling going on, amazing moves, false finishes, & the pure athleticism of these 3 men were just astonishing to witness. They all shined bright and I do hope that the contenders get their time with a title down the road for sure. (We all know that Omega's reign will end when it is the right time to crown Adam Page!) Stadium Stampede had SO many "IN" jokes & references and I was marking out so hard for it, definitely made it a lot of fun. What I loved the most however was how this was more or less set up to really serve Sammy & push him into another stratosphere for the next year & it totally worked. One thing I do have to say, that aside from getting to see Konnan (SO happy he's still alive!), I feel like Santana & Ortiz were a bit side lined unfortunately.

I believe I had previously said that I am going into this season with trepidatious optimism if not for anything else than the fact that I feel Michael C. Hall wants to have another crack at "doing it right" while also having not only a whole new location & set up, but also having Clancy Brown involved already helps cement a more lenient type of mentality of forgiving.

Went & saw this in IMAX on Sunday, the theater was about half full or so (largest cinema group in the last 16+ months) and on that day it was already in the mid $40M range nearing $50M. The amount of ratcheting tension expertly built in multiple scenes, just astonishing & quite refreshing to be THAT in the moment, lost to what is transpiring on screen, absolutely captivated by the moment to moment of it all. I had had a drink prior to going into the screening that went right through me so the whole damn time I had to pee, but I would not allow myself to get up because I was so enthralled by it all. So much so that by the climax of the film, the tension was SO grand that I actually forgot I had to take a leak because I was so in the moment of the movie. Bravo to John, & all those involved. Always been a huge fan of Cillian Murphy & some of his scenes with Milly are astonishing, then there's Milly who just really owns & carries this movie SO SO MUCH! Add to that, the fact that so much of it was filmed just a couple hours from me, sort of fills me with extra heartfelt emotions!

Movies Edgar Wright's Last Night in Soho - Trailer

So I'm not the only one that got a serious Giallo vibe to this, whew! Thought I was nuts from thinking that. -
I wouldn't hate another live action performance of Ray Park as Darth Maul!

Movies Edgar Wright's Last Night in Soho - Trailer
SoberChef replied to TheLeon's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I have been salivating over the thought of Edgar doing a film in this genre, and the trailer did NOT disappoint! Thomasin McKenzie was awesome in Jojo Rabbit, also that this will be in October around the time Halloween Kills is out - talk about one hell of a double feature!! -
Then either I'm not entirely crazy or we both need straight jackets!
