Mission: Impossible is over 22 years old. That's pretty fuckin' old for a film (I'm 31 years old). Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation may be the best M:I movie. All of them are entertaining in their way, though all of them lack any real character depth or substance, they are fun action-espionage films. I look forward to a second go-around with writer-director Christopher McQuarrie.

Television Jessica Jones Season 2 LTTP

Jessica Jones season 2 is easily the worst Marvel Netflix TV show season, only coming out ahead of Iron Fist season 1. I'm 10 episodes in and it's still slow, boring, and worst of all, not that compelling. The acting is still good though. And I'm not one of those that thinks the Marvel Netflix shows have gotten worsen. While I was disappointed by The Defenders season 1, The Punisher season 1 was genuinely good TV (with a slow start and an overlong season, as per usual) with a great ending. But I did not enjoy the slog that has been JJ season 2. A shame when JJ season 1 is one of the best of the Marvel Netflix TV shows. -
The Official Thread of Systemic Racism

This is just irritating and sad. I literally drove to a CVS earlier this week and there was a young black boy doing this exact same thing (same type of box and everything) for some school help program. I was unfortunately in a genuine rush, but even so when he stopped me I talked to him for awhile and he explained what he and his classmates were doing, etc. I told him I didn't have cash on me but would get some. The CVS didn't have cash back (for some stupid reason) and I told him I would come back from elsewhere but he said he was being picked up soon anyway. I told him best of luck and to keep at it as selling things that way isn't easy. THIS IS A NORMAL AND HUMANE INTERACTION BETWEEN AN ADULT AND A CHILD. This old white lady shows up just as I did, but instead this is how she acted. I just. C'MON. Am I crazy to be angry about this? Asking genuinely I think at this point. -
Someone should sit Trump down, give him all of the stats about a country, say it's an African country, then, when finished, reveal that all those stats and everything that was just said was actually describing the United States. Maybe that's what it would take to get him to realize how bad it's becoming here? Frame it from the outside? Someone should try this, no?

Mac Tech Apple to refresh Mac line in the fall

I was referring to the hardware when I said closed, I really should have made that clear. I should have said PC instead of Microsoft for that part. -

You're right, saying open source is a bit much heh. That's true their similar, but at least coders in my life say to me they feel that despite the Unix similarity, they feel their hands are more tied by Mac. Like I said though, not hating on Macs, and you have more experience than me on this personally I think, so I default to you on the subject. I can see it going the other way and I'm mistaken. -

I mean, I wasn't saying Microsoft = fast and Mac = slow, just that I am decently faster on Windows than on Mac, not that Mac is slow by comparison. But I haven't met many who felt Mac was faster was all. Maybe it is, I'll have to learn more for sure but the shortcuts, etc. on Windows is pretty blisteringly fast. But totally I should learn more if you are this adamant. -

Honestly my experience has been the exact opposite, whee dual screening with Windows is easier for me than Macs. My wife is a Mac lover, and even she agrees that if she could learn Windows (her watching how I use it) she would, but she's used Macs so long that's what she's comfortable with. I'm not saying Macs don't do some things better, but most serious coders and tech heads that I know use open source systems (Windows, Linux, etc.). I'm not trying to hate, if you like Apple great! Was just speaking to my own experiences was all. You're a very standoffish fellow lol. -

I'm not sure what kind of work you do but it's unquestionable that if you are an expert with Windows that it is easily faster and easier to use than a Mac. As an expert in both, I can tell you that at least personally a Mac feels slow to me. It's closed OS is such a limit. Just my .02. Everyone should use what works best for them of course.
