General Gaming Summer Game Fest 2023 Reaction Thread
crispy4000 replied to Brian's topic in The Spawn Point
I think Sony being mostly absent here hurts their show even more. No TLOU-remake like announcement. Silver lining is FF7 Rebirth’s release date. So with SquareEnix’s help, their slate of exclusives in the near term isn’t too bad. Geoff’s show could have benefitted from some of those 3rd party games announced in Sony’s. Or least they could have done away with that absolutely worthless Alan Wake 2 demonstration. I prefer to see gameplay, yes, but that was like watching paint dry. Geoff has this strange thing for Korean and Chinese F2P games and MMOs. I get that they look better than most would expect, but I don’t think many people are getting hyped for them regardless. Maybe these devs secretly are the ones making bank, and Geoff follows the money. -

Eh, Rebirth is out early next year. I could have seen them holding it for TGS perhaps, but they also had the opportunity to be the headlining act here. And I doubt more talk of Final Fantasy will hurt 16. -

Man, Alan Wake 2 gameplay was one of the most dull demos I've seen from a major show. -
IGN's pre-show is live.

Also, I have no idea what to make of this game, other than its a bold move to tackle Disney animation. -

This is turning into a legitimately good show. First few games are most all bangers. It’ll be worth seeing the highlights. -
Fun video, with a game announced at the end.

This was at the Marvelous showcase a few days back.

Owning it for $7 is still a great deal IMO. I've jumped on a number of Microsoft 1st party games like this. Few years back it was Gears 5 and Gears Tactics Steam keys for from Best Buy for $5 a pop. Maybe the best deal is to wait for it to be given out somewhere. Much of Bethesda's pre-Microsoft library has been given out for free at this point.

General Gaming How many days do you game in a week?
crispy4000 replied to Biggie's topic in The Spawn Point
It all depends on what I’m excited to play. Every day if I’m engrossed. Once every few days if there’s nothing I’m digging. It’s those times I have to choose what’s next or will be starting something big that I’ll take a short break. -
These two were swapped out for Eternal Threads and Meeple. Not that anyone should care. Rest of the bundle is live as is.

Nice, the date sticks. Subbed for 3 months of Nintendo online so I get the voucher discount with Zelda.
