General Gaming What are you playing today?

ToTK is done! I’ll want to go back and clean up some of the Shrines I missed, and maybe some light roots in the process. But overall, very, very good game. I pulled out my turret rover schematic from early in the game to take on the gauntlet. Hardly had to swing my sword. I definitely feel like I cheesed it, but hey. -

Going to take on Ganon in TOTK next. I love the 11th hour new mechanic addition, I'm really glad I didn't have that spoiled for me. -

Not yet. Have you played Boomerang Fu? That's my highest recommendation for an indie party game. (it's $6 right now on PC with 3 other party games) -
I'll be voting based on what I find most fun. Hopefully we get a good mix of people voting one which way or another. That might make for a better overall list. I plan on us using the ranking website I posted earlier for voting. That should make for some hard choices in either respect. Plus it exports to CSV, which should make compiling it all easier.

@stepee Because it seems like something you'd nominate: DK Tropical Freeze? I sadly haven't played enough of it yet. @Commissar SFLUFAN Same deal: Dishonored games? Prey? Ori & the Will of the Wisps? Control? Psychonauts 2? I won't nominate that last one, as I'm kind of wavering on it making it to my top 100. But I could also see it sneaking its way on in the ranking process.

Hopefully this means that Choice monthly selections get better going forward. That also might explain the bundle I posted about earlier, that was exclusively their published stuff: Awesome Indies from Humble Games WWW.HUMBLEBUNDLE.COM Get an eclectic mix of Humble Games titles, including Moonscars, UNSIGHTED, Dodgeball Academia, and more. Pay what you want & support Direct Relief!

General Gaming What games have you purchased lately?

Picked up the Humble Games bundle this month of their own published titles, for $14. Their desktop app and subscription library is going away (I never used it), but I figured that's why they did a big bundle of their own stuff. I also got Tales of Arise for $5 new at Gamestop's recent sale. There's some other enticing stuff too, but stock is a big issue (unless you order a crazy amount for free shipping). Not a bad deal if you can manage it! -
I feel like there’s better top down shooters than that. Shock Troopers is one people should really play. Commandos arcade is another I prefer in the classics sense. There’s Ikari Warriors as mentioned above. I haven’t played it yet, but the Pocky & Rocky remake looks fantastic. Some people also really like Zombies ate my Neighbors, but I could never get into it. There’s also Hotline Miami, which may deserve a nod ahead of the genre staples. Not nominating any of these myself, but they’re fun.
