  1. I'm not making it a red herring. The documented culture of sexism at Riot is clear enough. No one is arguing otherwise. I only singled it out because, to me, that particular bit deserves more scrutiny before being thrown in with the rest of the pile. It's a dumb bullet point without context.
  2. We already know the studio behind it. This is their only released game: I own it (through Steam bundle trash). It's bad. Real bad.
  3. Dick is a nickname for Richard. For starters. Or even, "Hey those dicks at [moba company x] copied our character concept." "We really don't want our eSports players to act like dicks to each other." It's really not that hard to think of examples.
  4. That number means very little without proper context. There's a world of different scenarios it could be used. Hopefully she kept track of those.
  5. Makes sense. Point still stands - there's not a lot of reasons left to buy a cheap Xbox One. If you didn't have one already, putting that money into a PC would be the way to go, or an X if you really can't hold out for RDR2 and would be eager to make use of BC.
  6. The first three years? That's still not a majority of their published games. Killer Instinct, Ori, Quantum Break, Gears 4, Gears Ultimate, Ryse, ReCore, Dead Rising 3 and Project Spark (and more) all released in that time frame and have PC ports. Forza 6 as well. According to this list, these are the only retail exclusives not on Windows outside of Sunset Overdrive: - Fantasia: Music Evolved - Forza Motorsport 5 - Halo: The Master Chief Collection - Halo 5: Guardians - Rare Replay - ScreamRide [also on 360] - Zoo Tycoon [also on 360] (on PC) Crimson Dragon is the one notable digital-only release. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/3090835
  7. The price of an Xbox One (X) to drop enough to justify buying for the games that haven't been ported to PC. All the while more and more games are getting ports. For PC gamers, I don't think a stock Xbox One is a better value than a 3DS at this point. There's way better impulse buys. I'd imagine so, even if not day and date. Pretty much everything else that isn't Halo/Forza/Gears has made it over.
  8. It's probably similar to the situation with Nintendo and Bayonetta 2 (& 3).
  9. Gamers can be shitbags. It's sad to see this much vitriol against a good looking (if not playing) game. And as bad as the microtransactions and company behind it might be, it seems like a legitimate effort. EA trotted out something much worse last E3 with C&C mobile, but no one booed them there. Probably because they were journalists. Blizzard still deserved a reaction to wake them up from being tone deaf. This wasn't some indie project. I still think Blizzard fans should be more outraged that a PC Warcraft III remaster looks substantially worse than an outsourced mobile Diablo.
  10. I wonder if they were limited by the original engine. You're supposed to be able to switch back and forth between the two. So maybe this is as far as they could go to spruce the source up without fully rewriting the game. That would make a lot more sense.
  11. Could be some borrowing, but those do like different games. Like the leap you'd expect from a much improved sequel. Also...
  12. Taken from Twitter via Resetera. No digital sales by Bethesda included. Destiny 1 also might not have charted because of how SKUs were split. (Spider-man and Destiny 2 are close) (Overwatch, Rainbow 6 Siege and NBA 2k18 are close) If it wasn't for Fortnite's popularity, I'd say this portion of the industry is largely the same as last gen. Notably absent: Madden. Minecraft. Anything by Ubisoft.
  13. I won't be giving Blizzard a pass here. Even with small units and all, they could do better. Most other companies couldn't stand to release anything with this in their trailer.
  14. In case you haven't, look into PS4+PC only releases too. There's quite a few notable games, and remasters, that skipped over the X1. I'm decidedly a PC first gamer now, after the PS4/PC trend growing, plus Microsoft decision to port everything I'd buy their platform for. At this rate, I'll probably be like you next gen in waiting for a clearance deal on the PS5.
  15. More people hooked into your subscription network, becoming fans of series they might not otherwise play, and paying for your DLC and microtransactions. There's a lot of skepticism I have about the model personally, especially where the rest of the industry runs with it. But if it's an excuse to port more old games to PC, I can look past my concerns on some level.
  16. Those two would be nice as well. I really want a Lost Odyssey port. The Microsoft console with the most exclusives appealing to me was the og Xbox, which I owned. It'd be nice for them to put that back catalog on PC eventually, if they can.
