  1. Pacific Drive showed well too. Paranormal driving roguelike? Yeah, that’s a neat idea.
  2. From what they’ve shown so far, I don’t think it looks very much like BoTW at all in that, aside from the obvious implications of the world below. The sky areas seem pretty linear and directed thus far. But who can say for sure.
  3. Really ugly character. The challenge battle stuff should be fun at least. 110 hours and still going.
  4. Sony’s shows really lean into Eastern-looking gritty action these days. Not that it’s a bad thing, all the reveals looked fun. Also not a surprise so close to TGS.
  5. The original? No. The unreleased XBLA version? It's beautiful. Watching this, and trying that Agent 64 indie game, there's still a secret sauce here that's allowed it to age better than a most old FPSs. It just has to be unshackled from N64 framerate and slowdown.
  6. Nintendo rumors can never be trusted until they happen. It was kind of frustrating to see the Samus logo in the corner during the Goldeneye reveal.
  7. I still wish it was a whole new world to explore below. Maybe XB3 got too big for Monolith to help much this time. It also looks like there's some kind of loading transition between the sky and world below. Probably a good thing.
  8. Spirit of the North looks like one of the best EGS additions in a while. Looking forward to checking that out when it drops Thursday.
  9. Silly first game to do it with. I only think it hasn’t been universal yet because of cross-gen. We’ll see more dominos start falling.
  10. Amazon gives away PC games each month for subscribers. Most are DRM free in their own launcher. There’s some occasional indie gems in there, like Blazing Chrome, Yoku's Island Express and Furi, for example. Lately they’ve been doing partnerships with other storefronts (EA,Epic,GoG,Ubi) for AAA and AA games. It’s AC Origins and Shadow of Mordor this month.
  11. Not really. - Redeem free games each week on EGS. - Redeem games on Amazon Prime Gaming each month if you have a Prime subscription. - Check r/gamedeals periodically for interesting game bundles with Steam keys, particularly from Humble and Fanatical. - Use the Enhanced Steam plugin for better pricing on Steam keys than Valve’s storefront. - Check GMG if you want to buy anything new that’s AAA. - Become bitter about Steam sales sucking.
  12. News Release : Sep. 12, 2022 "Domestic sales of Splatoon 3 for Nintendo Switch surpass 3.45 million in first three days" WWW.NINTENDO.CO.JP By a wide margin too, almost 1 million ahead of Animal Crossing.
  13. I mainly want to five star the city for the run speed bonus. Maybe the other one for the swim speed bonus too. Hit chapter 7 so I assume it’s possible to.
  14. Kind of a bad show. CG trailers of mobile games, old footage of upcoming games, CG trailers of unannounced new games. Any time a new game is announced with four main characters, I immediately get skeptical about it having a half baked campaign full of ‘it’s still good solo’ BS.
  15. Still is plenty, considering I’ve only done 1/4 of them. Just passed the 100 hour mark.
  16. Getting closer to the end I presume. Unlocked all the heroes except one, but I shudder to think about the number of level cap unlocking quests are left. Or maybe I don't... because this game is awesome and I don't want to be done with it.
  17. The pacing is screwed up, definitely. The second chapter at least should have been shortened or cut completely. The skill tree is actually pretty good overall, but bike upgrades take forever at the start.
  18. Tried the You Suck At Parking demo on Steam a while back... easy skip. Superpets game actually looks kinda fun though, lol.
  19. There’s like 5 chapters from what I recall. The first one is decent, since you’re getting a grip on the world and it feels at its most survival horror with your limited skills. Second chapter is the real slog, although you do get an interesting arrow type to play with. (Crossbow is op) The third chapter suddenly the story picks up, almost like it’s a different, much better game than the first two, and that high stays to the end mostly.
  20. I should boot it up on PS5 sometime too, now that I’ve got one. Reminds me how much it sucks there is no RDR2 next-gen patch. Gotta play that one on PC I guess.
