    RIP in Peace. In reality, AMLO has publicly said that he wants NAFTA to survive, but I don't expect he'll be too heartbroken if it goes away. I think his attitude towards the treaty could best be described as "casual indifference".

    His margin of victory appears to be SIGNIFICANTLY larger than even his most favorable pre-election polls suggested. With 52% of the ballots counted, he has 54% of the vote. His party also appears to have won 70% of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies (the lower house)

    As someone who is pro-abortion (and not merely pro-choice), the notion that a "right to privacy" (whatever the hell that is) serves as the basis of abortion's legality is absolute nonsense. This is the entire fatal flaw of American jurisprudence - that something's legality has its basis as to whether or not it's a "right" rather than whether or not it has utility for society as a whole.
