  1. No worries - I'm sure someone hasn't seen it. But here is the full QuakeCon presentation - all 25 minutes of it:
  2. Huh - that's the footage from QuakeCon last week.
  3. Starting on August 21, prisoners in at least 17 states are expected to refuse to go to work, launch sit-ins in common areas, boycott commissaries, or go on hunger strike, according to Dorsey, an electrical lineman who’s a member of the IWW’s Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee. Considering America's "for profit" incarceration system coupled with a legal systems that effectively criminalizes the poor for existing, I think it's fair to say that it's pretty close to "modern day slavery".
  4. For the record, I'm not a fan of Michael Jackson, but I UTTERLY DESPISE The Eagles, especially Don Henley. In 1980 paramedics were summoned to the home of Don Henley of The Eagles, where they found two girls, aged 15 and 16 respectively; the former was arrested for being under the influence of drugs and the latter, who was naked when the authorities arrived, charged with prostitution. Henley paid a $2,500 fine and got probation.
  5. It's not unreasonable to assume that he was, but maybe the case was so very airtight from the prosecution's perspective that one would be selling themselves short
  6. I think I'll agree with Haberman's take that Cohen was probably not even offered a "cooperative" plea agreement beacuse prosecutors didn't view him as credible. And maybe they realized that he really had nothing further to offer than the campaign finance stuff.
  7. Because a mistrial was declared on the majority of the charges, I have technically won this thread!
