I can provide absolutely provide a tangible example of the rhetoric of the American political leadership leading directly to political violence: the American Revolution itself.   3. Do you know of instances of similar rhetoric emanating from the White House during the administrations of the 1960s and 1970s which was when domestic terror incidents were at their peak? What about during the early 1900s when anarchist terror incidents were prevalent?
  4. Actually I'm going to say that it won't. This isn't 2001 - this is a VERY different country than it was then. Depending on the target, a huge proportion of the population will shrug their shoulders and effectively say "Too bad, so sad."
  5. The difference is that there hasn't been rhetoric coming from the Oval Office that creates an atmosphere where such acts are essentially "expected".
